The only thing that is postponing Baileys demise is the injury excuse. And fair enough we had a better crack today. But it is time to stop playing non performers and blooding new players ASAP. Aaron Johnstone should be chopped but I doubt there is the courage to do it at the moment.

Just about every sub this season appears to be the guy who lost the coin flip for the final position on the selected 21. Does not appear to be any rational thought processes applied to who will make a useful sub.

My comments are directed to people like you. You apologists always play the man instead of the topic and make arguments that spite your own nose. Trying to find any justification to why he may stay and arguing against the interests of the club. The club comes first and not the individual. As far as I am concerned he has made his decision. There is only one reason why the door has been shut. If he hasn't gone yet then his actions are very selfish and will continue to destabilise and ferment uncertainty at this fragile club and quite frankly if that is the case he can get lost. Just about every other high profile GWS candidates have been more engaging and eager to sort out their position on the matter. A player of his stature should have been secured a long time ago. If not it is either through incompetence at the club or he had decided to leave a long time ago thus leaving us high and dry.

Makes me sick all this talk by some posters that justifies thats its OK for the club to be screwed to the wall and hung out to dry whilst this juvenile lead supposedly makes up his mind. We get the slam door in face attitude with the its all about me attitude and some think it is OK.

Hit outs were certainly the weakest part of his game. But his all round game was exceptional for a big man the time and he was very versatile. Most other ruckmen were lumbering types. Made very few clangers too though best forget the 1987 prelim. Was courageous and fair. If he could have been more dominant in the ruck we might have got closer to a flag during his time. One often stated criticism of him at the time was that he got a lot of cheap possessions by playing a kick behind the play. But then at the time just about every ruckman did that also. Stynes just got more of the ball.

Fox Sports are quoting Dale Thomas as saying he is hoping to sign a 2 year contract soon with Collingwood.

There you go. They are happy to drop their regular ruckman and put in a part timer. Do you reckon that would have been the case if Jamar was in? You'd jibber jibber about anything trying to win an argument.

Yours is flawed. They have axed three players. Evans is more of a response to our sudden plague of injuries and too many non performing options. Dropping their regular ruckman form or no form to go against our part timers is an indicator they don't see us as a real threat. All their 4 inclusions are mobile players including big man Blake. Don't tell me Winmar is a slug.

Looks like they are going more mobile. They also think this is a good time to make an example of underperformers and also debuted a new player. Got no respect for us.

I think the Saints may be thinking the very same thing and punting on a "lets get back some form" result. We are both playing for the chicken liver cup.

Sheehan said that that he was very impressed by Tom's sincerity in his speech but next day his doubts seemed to re-emerge. I guess he listened more closely to what Tom said on tape.

No 1 Option. For the Ostriches. No 2. For the fence sitters. No 3. For the conspiracy theorists.

Going back to Tom's one and only presser in March it was obvious he was artfully well coached to what to say. In the end he said nothing more than what Velocity Sports had said previously. But he was not perfect. He was very eloquent and confident but when he had to answer a direct question the modulation of his voice changed significantly. Totally unconvincing.

If we kept MacDonald and Bruce and perhaps Miller we'd be in the top half in age relativity. Ripe to pluck a premiership no doubt. Another non sensical apologist theory.

Reminds me also like "Don't call us we'll call you" from his management.

Skyrocket? Well he better get out quick and start playing awesome football then. I haven't heard Tom say something comforting like "I will be playing for Melbourne next season. The contract details I'll sort out at the end of the season". Given all the angst, insecurity, disruption and impoverished position of the club both on and off the field and it passes he does eventually sign with us it will be a tremendously selfish position for him to take. I don't think he is that selfish. And some of our supporters here seem more interested in weighing Scully's interests over the clubs.

Can we offload Davey to GWS?

Every available choice seems to be less than adequate. For now I'd take Moloney. I'd love to see Tapscott as Captain one day. If not then Trengove. Grimes not sure unless he can clean up his game of clangers. Tapscott with 50 games under his belt I'd give him the job then and there. Reminds me of a young Brereton. Who says you need 100 or 200 games to do the job?

One positive I would like to add is that we have played some awesome football this year in most games. To list the best for each game. Feisty comeback against Swans in 3rd qtr. 2nd quarter stunning charge from behind against Hawks. Dominant all round game against GCS although patchy. 3rd quarter against Brisbane. Break even 2nd quarter against WC way against the tide. Awesome 4 quarter effort against Adelaide. Awesome first quarter against NM. The problem is the rest of our game has been mostly absolute junk of the lowest order. The talent is there. Upstairs and in the coaching box I'm not so sure.

The truth will reveal itself. They will be no shades of grey left to argue over this matter.
