  1. As I said on another thread - "can this site get any sillier"? . The team can all be on pensioners concession cards for all I care , so long as we win a flag before I die or become so consumed in red wine that I don't notice.
  2. Yes it can get sillier
  3. Where's that great haircut LJ had ? Can you photoshop that in? He looks as mean as cats..t with it?
  4. Since DB became coach the idea has been to clear out and reinvigorate the list - no problems with that. But are we becomming too ruthless? Too youth orientated? Is a player automatically over the hill when they turn 30? Realistically Junior and bruce had more footy in them. If Brad Green is still playing good footy at 30 do we offer him a 1 year contract? Would we blame him if he took 2 years elsewhere?
  5. Yeah looks good but I don't like the picture of Jurrah. Got an alternative?
  6. Can this site possibly get any sillier?
  7. What a bizzare group we must be. Sunday night on a long weekend thinking about a team that finished its season weeks ago and will not resume normal activities for months. As a result of there being no " real " action to talk about this forum (or what I've read of it) appears to have descended into some strange, fantastic, offensive and absurd areas of content. These include remarkably complex draft possibilities, overly optimistic projections for next year, slagging (by some) of Robbo, slagging of PJ and perhaps most astonishingly the retention of "Juice". Now I haven't read everything ( I was OS for a month) so give me some views - what is the silliest thing that has been written on this forum since the GF.
  8. Agree fully. Had my doubts early in the season but now that he's settled he will be a regular in our best 22.
  9. Fair point but maybe Newton is paying MFC to keep him.
  10. I can see no logic in getting rid of Miller and keeping Newton. Miller had a go and showed a bit of aggro when needed. Newton just made up the numbers although he can kick a bit better than Miller.
  11. The real question to ponder at this time is will the Jack Viney threads exceed the Jack Watts threads ?
  12. It would have been even better if it had been Collingwood
  13. He certainly looks the part - he's built like a brick outhouse. We need strong bodies.
  14. Agreed - he was chopped around a bit but if not up forward i don't see aplace for him. he won't fit in our best backline unless he gains a fair bit of pace
  15. He was really impressive when he first played. Big strong body- looked capable of anything. I couldn't believe how far backwards he went this year -lumbering and lost. I certainly hope he finds his way again as he could be the strong forward we need.
  16. I joined this forum after watching Hawthorn kick the s out of ou in round one. Does that explain it?
  17. Ablett is an elite player. Who at Melbourne come anywhere near his performances over the last few years?
  18. Was that the Cloke that Setanta kicked in the arse - if it wasn't he should have. Give Spencer a couple of years - I reckon he will do the business.
  19. Under DB melbourne has been going full on for youth (ask Junior). There is no way we will pick up Cox - even if the Eagles pay us to take him.
  20. No doubt trying to get a GF ticket will cause much gnashing of tooth among pies supporters.
  21. There can be no reason, justification or rationaiisation for supporting Collingwood, wishing them well or, god forbid hoping they win a GF.
  22. I cannot believe that some person/organisation has been paid money to come up with such a bland and souless logo. It does not grab my 50 plus years demon heartstrings. A football- how original. A southern cross- great if we were miners. A trident - relevant if King Neptune is a major sponsor. It's too much - less is always more. Thia is typical agency cr--.
  23. I don't expect much at all because I think we've been kidding ourselves about our ability this season. There is one thing I would like to see though- Jack Watts remaining vertical.
  24. Great post "Jack". I would also like to know why we go sideways or short so often when a kick on goal is on.
