  1. And, if I had any, I would be almost willing to put money on the fact that Barrett himself has indulged in the weed at some time in his life (would be very very few who haven't in this day and age). Hell, even Piers Akerman is great mates with Kinky Friedman... so anything is possible.
  2. Not to mention that it seems there is a direct correlation between the number of years as a cellar dweller and, as much as I detest the expression, the pea-heartedness of a team's supporters (I'm sure someone here must have a scientific formula they could provide us with as definitive proof).
  3. Has there ever been a start to an AFL season to match this one in terms of controversy and scandal?
  4. Mine is a gut feeling that rates up there with the "vibe" defence... but none-the-less, if we have had a gut-full as mere spectators, imagine how WADA and ASADA would be feeling having been dealing with it first hand.
  5. If the EFC and AFL think they can lord it over WADA, I think they will be in for a rude shock. If there is an appeal against the AFLs decision, then I would be very surprised if any subsequent penalties were to be backdated. I get the feeling that ASADA and WADA have had a gut-full of EFC and the AFL and will not suffer them gladly if the AFL gives the EFC what is in essence a slap on the wrist.
  6. You missed the bit just above the hand drawn sketch... "found this on a us site"
  7. That sounds like a great evening NB! Did all of those people you list perform? The heat never really worries me too much... I went to a place here called the Petersham Bowlo (bowling club) a while back to see the Mighty Reapers (former Dynamic Hepnotics) and the air conditioning broke down. It was packed to the rafters and the bar was doing a roaring trade due to the fact the temperature inside was probably topping 40c easily. Really looking forward to seeing the Sports.
  8. He didn't perform too badly in NAB 1, so with a game at Casey next week, he may be ready to come into the side for round 1... even if as the sub.
  9. Great work guys... I'm assuming one of the Pete's is Saty (TDI)?
  10. Thanks for the laugh... you're a good man OD.
  11. Just a couple of things... you have used the US spelling of criticise and usually the last item in a list should end with a full stop.
  12. Sounds like it should be a great night out NB... enjoy; and I'll look forward to your report.
  13. And he will at least get to prove himself against a real team.
  14. I'm pretty sure both Magner and Clisby haven't been named in the Bummers squad.
  15. He's not named in the squad v Essendon, so I'm guessing he meant Casey.
  16. Just saw a tweet: "Wet training session for the Suns today. Ablett still wearing the orange cap for no contact and O'Meara moving freely." Anybody's guess at this stage just who will be lining up for the Suns.
  17. And that's something that's been long overdue at this club!
  18. Ok... I don't want to see anyone being so offensive as to start making Old Dee jokes at this point!
  19. I noticed in one news article Jones mentioning that he had been in touch with his mate Magner asking him not to injure him as he would like to play round 1.
  20. And let's not forget that Pedersen was another to reinvent himself last year. As far as this year goes (can't recall if I made any predictions earlier in this thread... so if I did I'll probably contradict myself), I think with the focus on fast decisive attack and if Watts spends more time forward, he will be one to have a breakout year. The other I think will be Salem who by the sound of it has found his niche playing back and through the midfield... but I also wouldn't discount JKH who helped set up a couple of goals against the doggies as well as get a couple off his own boot; with a less dysfunctional forward line this year, he may be Garletts new "Eddie Betts".
