I think TDI said he was struck down with a virus which affected his availability for the NAB Challenge.
-
I'm more inclined to think they want him to learn to think like a back man so he can understand what he is up against when he plays forward.

Contact the club and let them know that...do it now! Phone (03) 9652 1111

I just phoned the club (and tweeted) expressing my disappointment. They assured me that my feedback will be passed on and that it will be looked into. The cynics might say that that is as far as it will get, and they may be right if I'm the only one to contact them...so, I suggest that if you feel strongly enough about the fact that this is not a good look for the club, please do the same.

The point is that the club needs to be aware that the supporters/members are watching their performance in all areas closely. They could have used what looks like approx 1,000 scarves as a good public relations exercise (winter is coming and there are plenty of homeless who would appreciate even the smallest of gestures). The point is that if they hear of such failures often enough and from enough members, they will start to realise certain areas of the administration of the club must improve. Do something and things might change, do nothing and nothing will change. Anyway, I will tweet and Facebook, and if I get no response I will call them.

Hanging out with his good friends Wally and Carmen Sandiego.
-
I hope so...the more pressure they put on themselves, the better it is for us.
-
Has anyone actually contacted the club about this?

They would look great paired with the puffy shirt.

Just tweeted by MFC: With great sadness, we advise the passing of triple premiership player Geoff Tunbridge (link to DemonWiki).
-
I care in as far as I really think he is not long for this world... he's just occupying a seat in the waiting room. Sure it's self inflicted, but still sad none the less.

I believe that after Friday night, Viney has cemented himself a place in the back line.
-
Probably not worthy of its own thread so I'll chuck it in here, but just saw tweets mentioning that Benny Boy has been arrested in Perth again and is being held in police custody.

Casey Scorpions v Port Melbourne @ Casey Fields
hardtack replied to KC from Casey's topic in Melbourne Demons
Well I would imagine there is a good possibility that is how he will be used at first. After all, and I may well be wrong, that is what Roos did with Salem isn't it? -
Oh come on DC... that's far too obvious!!

What, you mean you only just figured out it means "Brayshaw's Elf" - the poster is obviously a big Tolkein/LotR fan

It was actually a bit of a nightmare (although closer to 2 than 1 year)... I still clearly remember the feeling of occasionally waking during the night in tears from the growing pains; there was absolutely nothing that could be done to relieve them.. My oldest son will fortunately miss out on that, being already nearly as tall as me at having just turned16 years of age 2 weeks ago... but I get the feeling my youngest son will not be so lucky... his feet are growing but he's not getting noticeably taller...he'll end up looking like a clown with those feet (I had to buy him new footy boots the other week and when I put them against last year's, they were almost 2 inches longer!).

I'm pretty confident the improvement will be there. The improvements in the Roos implemented defensive game were patently obvious to all well before the end of last season. With Goodwin now applying an attacking mindset that will slot in on top of the defensive model, I think we will start to see some of those close losses turning into narrow victories. It took Roos a large part of a season to get the defensive plan working, so let's give Goodwin the same "grace" period to get the attack up and running.

That's an annual event here on D'land.

If Jack Viney turned into Nathan Jones, the sound of the impact would be heard over several city blocks!
-
I was similar... went from 165cm at 17 to 188cm at 19.
-
Exactly, which is why, as Wiseblood so rightly said, he will learn from it.
-
This is an attitude I have never quite understood. Why would anyone ever "hope" that our players will be delisted?
-
Ahhh... sorry, my grey matter is a little dysfunctional today.
