True enough... but I also think Roos knows the history of our round 1 failures and the impact that seems to have on the rest of our season. I think he will be going all out to win first up and so will be using this Friday's game to help him finalise the starting line-up.

I think Hoges will be played again as he needs game time after missing out for so long. Also, if he can kick a bag then he will go into the first round with his confidence sky-high.

I get the feeling that if Roos is trying to sort out his options for round 1 (and this is probably his last chance to do so in a match scenario), then I think we will see Dawes given a day off and both Pedersen and Fitzpatrick given a run (maybe one half each?).

I doubt that anyone with a tat like that would be posting on Demonland (or anywhere else for that matter)... they're probably still trying to figure out the screen unlock password on the PC they "found".

Actually, what happened to that "play on when the ball is kicked backwards in the defensive half of the ground" rule that they had in NAB Cup games in the past? That was the one new rule that I thought would have been worthwhile introducing to the regular season, and it seems they've gone and shelved it.

Actually, that profile pic is a little old now... I've since been through a beard, no beard and now I just couldn't be [censored] shaving and it's a bit all over the place. My son's a happy camper today... being in Sydney we obviously couldn't get to the Family day, but as I detailed in an earlier post somewhere, the club arranged a signed Dees jumper (most players from what I can tell) and a card signed my Nathan Jones. They arrived the other day and I presented them to him today... made his day!! So despite the issues that have been discussed in this and other threads, the club does get it right hopefully more often than they get it wrong. This thread seemed to have almost ground to a halt with the "withdrawal" of Dees2014. I think I will give up on speculation and trying to understand the subtleties at play here with regards to the law and just wait for the AFL's decision to be handed down on the 31st March. I'm sure that following the AFL's anouncement we will be hit with a Category 7.5 [censored], so in the meantime, it's probably best to get some rest in preparation.

I went to the Sydney Rock 'n' Roll & Alternative Market today at Sydney University's Manning Bar. One of the acts performing was Los Straitjackets (from the USA) with a guest vocalist Big Sandy. If they are heading your way (wherever that may be) do not, I repeat, do not miss them. Great morph of surf, rockabilly and rumble rock (a la Link Wray). We know that many refer to the NAB Challenge as just being practice matches so not too much can be taken out of the results and because many teams go in under-manned... can the same be said of these VFL practice matches and were Box Hill at or near full strength?
