The FD will do the best deal they can achieve. Nixon is talking it up by adding the Hawks in the mix because its really only Nth and Melb talking. Under the new rules the Hawks are not seriously going to go for Hale. Nth must get rid of him especially given their circumstances it would be a nightmare for them to have him suck in their cap. He is now totally useless to them in the way Mark Blake is not worth a candle for geelong. So lets not caught up in the posturing going on the FD will be better placed than anyone here to know whats on offer. Maybe they say to Nth thanks but no thanks we will wait to see whats around next year and take Fraser for the one year left in him to help out the russian.

I disagree we might be the ideal setup for him. Our club has developed an excellent level of understanding of the unique circumstances of its players and is providing an enviroment in which all players are supported and can flourish whatever their background. That is no doubt just an extension of Jim's approach with Reach. We now have one of the most mature playing groups going around.

I'd wish him well if he decided to go on but why would the blues risk it again? If he gets injured (like someone else we all know) he is bound to be out for weeks rather than days at this stage of his career. There is no doubt our FD did the sums and worked out he has about 14 to 15 games left in him over a couple of seasons at most.

Jones should not be traded he is developing well as a specialist tagger. With the departure of Junior that role will be important to fill. Just because he finished equal 13th doesn't mena he wont be in the core 22 for several years to come. At the start of the year everyone lamented his attempts to break through packs etc but that was the wrong role for him. In the back half of the year he looked settled in his new role and he is a good clubman.

Hard choice Beamer, Green, Bruce and Flash all bleed for the red and blue all deserving. I think it would be brilliant if we gave it Flash and I reckon he would step up. What is great is we have choices all good.

Week in week out gets the job done, number 2 in the league for taps and taps to a player. Who would have predicted one of our oldest players would turn it around in such a spectacular fashion. I am glad he is getting support from PJ (who is a year younger so maybe his tie is near?). Which raises the question who else might turn their career around in its twilight?

I have never been more connected to or proud of our club. Does anyone have a list of the companies who donated I'd like to support their products where possible.

Every last cent counts. If every member had tossed in $25 we would be done so its the small amounts that count. Apart from my initially donation I am hoping Greenie kicks more goals to make me keep forking out.

Johnson is improving a little each week andwith the back up he gives to Jamar we should stick with him. I suspect the Jamar revolution may rub off on him. The same goes with Watts, each week he makes a mistake but his awareness and decision making are getting better. Time is on our side. No one deserves a trip to the twos except Jurrah but for mine we should give him the time to get his confidence back. I noticed the smile he had after the win was about as wide as the Gabba. He wants to be there and will step up. We need to build a steady forward six who learn to work together. Time invested in that now will pay off in the future. Saturday did not suit our forwards after the heavy rain(even Greeny struggled)so i think thats a factor as well. If its fine and being at the G might be the spark needed by Liam. I cant wait to see both him and Watts starting to take marks with confidence, imagine if they both mature on the same day! In are Moloney (if fit)and Trengove. Scully might get a rest. Jones pulled up very sore so that might mean he is rested as well. If Jurrah goes out then Bate gets a chance. ps: watts was incredibly excited by the win as well so expect an announcement about his contract soon is my guess.
