  1. He is getting better every week, a trend in all our players. A terrific season so far.
  2. Scully didn't play badly but not as bright as he usually is so it might be time for a rest. A straight swap for Trenners is logical otherwise no change. Watts is showing a bit more each game so we should keep him in.
  3. Progressive total $620. (510 this week) Worth every cent this week
  4. might not be in this week so why not back jurrah for a week.
  5. Thanks but surprised no takers for bater. If wattsy kicks a bag how good a result will that be! Was thinking it could have been a dollar a possession so the whole team could be in maybe i should add that option.
  6. Can the mods tell me why it says 19 votes cast but I can only count 13? In any event one goal each on the weekend and the clubs up $130. Well done it all helps.
  7. If Jimma can wander around the ground collecting money so can we. I have emailed my Demon mates checking they have contributed. We know if all members gave around $20 we would be done. I have dipped in already but lets make it interesting, there are seven home and away games left (plus finals). I think $10 is about right per goal maybe $5 is better for others. (If some one bolts the max is about 5 goals by 7 by 10 or $350 bucks). I am prepared to top up my donation on a per goal basis for one of the forwards. My starter is Green as the man most likely to make me feel some pain (and joy at the same time). Contribute at the level that fits your pocket and best guess. I think we need to put money on the backs of all the forwards so they kick true for the red and the blue so mix it up a bit. Feel free to make it one game or the full seven (or for different amounts). Self policing. To "guests" who come to the site welcome and please back our boys. Think of the excitement it will give you every time they line up for one! (Happy to add other players to the above list)
  8. Can we have Jimma on the uncle sam face? Otherwise fab.
  9. It is absolutely fantastic the level of information being delivered. Its clear that they are being as open as they can and making the club feel like an extended family. Well done.
  10. Great to Jurrah back. We have a lot to look forward to and Petterds comments about the players group only serves to inspire faith in our direction.
  11. I just dont get the AFL decree. "All clubs with the exception of Collingwood, Essendon and Richmond have a mainly white jumper. The other exception is Geelong, who's clash strip has more blue than the home jumper ( go figure). Interetsing that the teams with a lot of black ( the hardest colour to see ) do not abide by the AFL decision." Seems there are too many exceptions to the "rule". The alternate red is better than white as it would cause less clashes. Or does this mean we will never see umpires in white ever again, just pink or red when we are playing.
  12. For mine I think he would be very good up forward.
  13. Week after week i went out to see them play and he was the shining light. He was stick thin and didn't look like a champion but no one could touch him. I have no doubt he was better than Ablett or Judd and most of the players of his time. Good players always look better in good teams, Robbie had to struggle on so many of his efforts were unrewarded or recognised because of the team he was in. I reckon he was always underestimated because he didn't look like a footballer.
  14. All the best Jimma we are with you in this fight.
  15. Geelong Advertiser Front PAge. From another thread but we can only hope that Geelong itself have put the white flag goggles on. The game down there wont be easy but Sculgove isn't our team anymore. True they and others have brought a new confidence but last week showed they are part of a much improved unit across the ground. Hopefully the Cats wander into the white flag trap and turn up for an "easyWin" whilst we bring our A game. Nothing would please me more than to see another defeated or almost defeated top team saying "we didn't play well today" underestimating what our group can do. Lets see which flag is flying at the end of the day, I hope its grand.
  16. Ah Jacks back and hunting down the 2000 mark.
  17. Shame its not being published elsewhere. What I like about our team is they enthusiatic about the future. They are honouring the grand old flag. Hope he plays out of his skin tomorrow.
  18. It all started with this... So flag 2014 make it 1000.
