GWS and GC will not bid on Viney! Think of it from their point of view! Would u draft a player who has his mind set on playing at Melbourne? Big risk to take on high draft pick if he walks after two yrs! Dees are playing it smart, they know GC/GWS wont touch him, and sheedy was having a bit of fun by stirring the pot, good on him. Great topic!!! Considering the yr we have had thus far, unfortunately we are back to talking draft scenario's and I think that we dont want to use pick 3 or 4 for Viney. MFC need to make it clear that if GC/GWS do bid for Viney to screw us over, that they might actually end up with a player of high risk to them as he would probably walk after 2 yrs anyway. We still got picks 3, 4 and 13 after this and im sure we can pick at least a couple of decent players (touch wood). My gut feel is that there is no way GC/GWS will risk taking viney in front of us. To much to lose if he were to walk after 2 yrs. Pretty much lock him in at 13 i reckon!

Not a silly thought, but you just have to hope the club are well aware of this and due processes are already underway. Pretty good recruiting from BP with Howe. As long as MFC dont turn him into a dud, which we have been good at doing in recent yrs....

Its sad but im already thinking that i wont be too concerned if we lose, as i think we will get viney with our 13 pick if we finish where we are now. In saying that i in NO way condone tanking and am sure MFC will not be doing that again (dont need to try to lose) LOL

I reckon Wellingham should get (or any player) at least the equivalent time out of the game as the poor bugger he gutlessly crunched!!! I realise he got 5 reduced to 3, but no way would carltank think that is anywhere near compensation and i would agree with them!!! Poor precedent set, AFL should step in on this one!!!

Im with ya cowboy, footy is a strange game and you never know what can happen. Neeld seems to be remaining pretty positive and i like that. We are definately better than what we have shown so far, bound to come together at some stage. Im going to rd 4 game for big jimmy, and i dont even care if we lose. As long as we stand united this club will come good!!!

Im proud to be a dees fan. Times are tough and i do get frustrated at times when i think that we may never get that elusive 13th premiership, but i think as im getting older, its damn cool to follow the dees, certainly never boring and people have a lot of respect for us supporters who stick through fat and thin. Keep it up everyone, eventually we will see better days..................

I have written a letter. Read below. And i dont care if you think my letter is bad. What i am trying to do is show that i care about our poor performance and want to see us do better. Att: MFC football dept. Just wanted to pass on an email to express how disappointed I was with last nights game. I honestly don’t mind losing, but I will be damned if I am going to follow a team that does not at least get in and have a dip. I am not going to waste my time pointing the finger at anyone in particular, but last night was genuinely embarrassing. I can honestly say that I can’t believe we only lost by 54 pts in the end. In some ways I wish we lost by more because MFC deserve to have the spotlight put on them. Anyway, I genuinely hope that the team can put that insipid performance behind them and show us all what they can really do. Its amazing how far a bit of passion and determination can take you. Sky's the limit for Jurrah.... As long as his body holds up, i reckon he will kick a tonne in the not to distant future. Sensational to watch!!! He will prob get his 8 this wk against the suns.

All i hope is that even though we can all be a bit frustrated with him at times, he needs to be kept in the team and one day we will all see reap the rewards of his apprenticeship.

I agree, its like winning a final or better when you see something like that happen. I think i nearly cried for the fella's after they came through for that win, still gets the heart pounding just thinking about that game. its the bad times that make the good times so good..............

I hope we get a couple of superstars, like when WC had Judd and Cousins. I got a good feeling that it might just happen too................. I dont have any doubt we are finals bound within the next 2 yrs. GO Dees.......
