The continuing saga of Melbourne's injury list - 2014
dees189227 replied to alpha33's topic in Melbourne Demons
Col is one we will miss in that backline. Sorry but when did Jamar hurt his foot. He hasnt played for so long I just forget what made him miss a lot of last year. -
Yep im going. I must admit I will be a bit nervous in what will unfold. Last year r1 we all rocked up expecting to win because well we thought we were playing an easy team with a new coach who were a basket case. 2 hours later how wrong we were. The thing is we are in a no win situation with the media. If we win then journos will just name all the saints players that were missing and if we lose it will be the same old melbourne again. It would just be great to have a win r1 and see the boys walk off happy.

As if we needed another reason to hate North Melbourne
dees189227 replied to a topic in Melbourne Demons
as someone pointed out today on radio there is always more opposition fans there anyway then nth so its a bit hard to create a hostile home ground environment. Can you imagine nth playing a home game against collingwood and collingwood not running out to there song, the fans would end up singing it and creating more atmosphere. I just just them as an example seeing as they have a very big fan base. But nth said they would play the other teams song after the game if they lost. -

any chance we could play Gawn as a forward only next week just so we have a tall up there? -
Yeah I know we dont have to put up with it I just hate our club being in the news for negative reasons after all the crap in the past few seasons. I hope Mitch can get himself right. I know he much he wanted to play for melbourne and get us successful on the field. And at the moment he cant do the one thing he wants to. It would be so frustrating. But Im sure the club will give him the full support.
-
the sad thing is we will have to put up with the media speculating and talking about him.
-
Mitch Clark will be out of football indefinitely, with his club giving him leave to deal with his health. On http://afl.com.au soon Demons not sure when he will be back but will work with him to get back. Say he will be away for an extended time. Also rehabbing a calf Very sensitive situation. Obviously needs to be reported given won't be at the club, but will need time and space from now on Tweets from different journos tonight.

Well Buddy is already copping it on twitter. 7 possies 1 goal but the conditions didnt really suit him. But if you sign a long contract for that long and amount of money you will some under scrutiny.

oh god we now have to start winning. GWS have suddenly turned good. Beaten Sydney by 32.

Practice Match - Melbourne v Hawthorn @ Casey Fields
dees189227 replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
For us, we know where we're at. You saw the premiers play against a team that won two games last year, and that's the difference." Roos summed it up there. By the way we got thrashed by a hawks team coached by Cameron Bruce. Who would have ever thought that. Stand-in Hawks coach Cameron Bruce said first indications were that Stratton's injury was not serious. -

I left at 3/4 time. Its a reality check of where we are at end the standard we have to get to. It gives Roos something to work with until r1. Im not mad. We were playing the premiers who had 3 key quality forwards to kick to. Roughhead, Hale and Gunston as opposed to our forward line which had Fitzy and Howe as main targets. Cant really compare. Shows how important it is having your 3 talls in. But again Vince played well and is going to be a great pickup choice. also no major injuries and my heart sank when I saw Jones go down and not get up straightaway but it turned out to be nothing major. -

im going and rapt its free. Went last year against the saints in the pre season game. It took forever to get out of the carpark. But looking forward to see how our new midfield goes against the hawks one and looking forward to JKH playing again. please no more injuries.
