  1. My mate was in a box at the Collingwood Essendon game last week, sitting between Wayne Carey and Rodney Eade. After a few beers he managed to get a bit of information out of Eade and it was that: - Eade is applying for the Melbourne job and pretty much accepts that he won't be re-signed by WB - Eade is very confident that Leon Cameron (Hawks assistant) will take over at the Dogs next season Take from that what you will.
  2. Hypothetically: If we did appoint a new leadership group before season's end and Tom Scully was included in the group, would our compensation increase if he does leave?
  3. I was in the rooms after the game and, with a few obvious exceptions, the players looked like an under 16s team. That's the trade-off of drafting fast, skilled kids as opposed to solid bodies. The only remedy is to wait for the players to develop their bodies over the next few pre-seasons and develop their footy through playing teams like Hawthorn and Collingwood.
  4. Bennell kicked 4 last year against them due to his incredibly clean hands in the greasy conditions but we need to stop Rodan, Hartlett, Gray and Hitchcock if we want to win so it will be interesting to see where he plays. Clint Bartram needs to come in for sure
  5. Yeh I thought he made a stuff up as well but he reiterated the point regarding Watts in the Final Siren or whatever it was so he is a [censored]
  6. What would people think to a Petterd-Mitch Clarke trade at years end?
  7. That fact aside, my point was that a star forward is more valuable to us than a star mid considering our list. I don't think you can argue with that, genius.
  8. Trying to get Pendlebury is all well and good but why not throw everything at Lance Franklin in the next 2 years? He would complete our team and was a Melbourne supporter growing up, like Pendlebury. He'd offer more to us than Pendles in my opinion.
  9. I wouldn't mind David Mackay from Adelaide. On the fringe at the moment and is the type of player we could use
  10. IN: Scully, Trengove, Howe OUT: Bate, Jetta, Morton We need to keep Warnock for Essendon's talls. We need to keep Newton for ruck relief which is more important this week than in any other. We need to bring in Scully and Trengove to get them back into AFL mode. We need to play Howe soon on form and Bate has been floundering so now is the time.
  11. Bartram is clearly needed in the backline and Nicholson is a first gamer. It has to be Jones
  12. Matthew Boyd Scott Pendlebury Kieran Jack
  13. Gary Ablett, Chris Judd, Lance Franklin, Leigh Matthews** Nah just that he looks similar to Montagna and is that kind of player. Maybe a less powerful Adam Cooney in my very humble opinion.

  15. He reminds me of a poor man's Leigh Montagna from what I've seen. Should be exciting to watch on Saturday
  16. That's like blaming Bin Laden's death on the Taliban having poor medical staff. Come on mate.
  17. OUT: Jamar (inj.), Trengove (susp.), Grimes (inj.) IN: Martin, Newton, Jetta Martin is the obvious replacement for Jamar and Newton as his chop-out. We won't win many hitouts so we will need Jetta and Bartram's tackling pressure around stoppages if we are to stand a chance at all.
  18. The warm, fuzzy feeling I got when I realised Frawls is back as he broke a tackle and left two crows in his wake
  19. We can't have 4 talls against North in my opinion so: OUT: Grimes (inj), Warnock IN: MacDonald, Bennell
  20. I'm not sure how Petterd will pull up after his knee injury. Can anyone shed some light?
  21. OUT: Morton, Dunn IN: MacDonald, Bate Bate straight swap for Dunn; self explanatory. MacDonald in for Morton, allowing Grimes to move to a midfield role to give us a better chance of clearances and harder tackling around the middle.
