Just said that there are a few good prospects blah blah. Said Neeld has some influence on the recruiting because he knows what he wants for his gameplan. A few kids moved up the rankings with test results. A few kids were moved down in his book after yesterday. (Don't know if it was due to interviews or results) Said a few kids were at the front of their seats before the interview and finished up at the back of their seat feeling uncomfortable.

He kicked 50 goals in 20 games. Average of 2.5 with a high score of 8. Every time i saw him play he was dangerous. Good speed and makes defenders very nervous. Great goal sense and good skills. http://www.afl.com.au/news/newsarticle/tabid/208/newsid/104511/default.aspx 21 years old but invited to the combine this year. 175kg, 74 kilos. Very new to the game as well. If he was available at our second pick I would love for us to snap him up.

Would much rather draft Ahmed Saad than trade for Byrnes/Nason or draft Rose

Convince me Jack Fitzpatrick will make it

I guess all players can't be as good as Dean Polo from day one. -

I think it's a bit hard to debut interstate in a losing team with a crap midfield and have Carlisle and Chaplin breathing down your neck. Give him more games before you blacklist him. -
In the words of the little girl in the Old El Paso ad: "Why can't we have both?" Who says we need to choose between a big forward and an experienced mid? I'd be trying to get one of each because they'll both improve our team more than a draftee.

Key forward from the Adelaide Crows. 193cm 81kg and still young. Taken pick 29 in the 2009 draft. Has shown good signs at AFL level, kicking 5 goals against Richmond this year. What are people thoughts on trading for him? Crows have Tippett, Walker and McKernan already and we could use some tall forwards at the momement. I have faith that Cook will come through but we've seen how effective forwardlines have been this year with several tall options.

Why is he being talked about as a second round pick in this diluted draft though?

From what I've read, Mitchell Grigg seems to be a good fit for us. Strong bodied midfielder, gun clearance player and has Daniel Rich's left boot. Only drawback is his apparently lazy attitude which I'm sure could be dispelled under Viney, Moloney, etc. He played senior footy for Norwood at 16 I think and has been good against the bigger bodies. Possible replacement for Scully.

Well done. We need to organise a few more good leagues next year i reckon

I either want to win by 186 points or secure pick 12. Anything in between won't help us very much at all

I also thought he was slow but on the club website his bio reads as follows: The lively speedster struggled in his second season, battling to overcome a groin injury at the start of 2010 and found himself in the VFL later in the year. Missed the first eight games, played the next six but was confined to VFL duties after that. Has great pace and excellent skills through the middle of the ground I think that it possibly indicates that he just doesn't have a big enough tank at the moment to maintain a high speed for much game time at all. Hopefully after a big preseason we will be able to see his said speed showcased.

Rivers is most often the first choice to play on resting ruckmen, so I don't understand why everyone is saying he is too small.
-
Completely agree. Exactly the type we need.

I think we should target the Adelaide clubs for some mids: Rory Sloane Patrick Dangerfield David Mackay Robbie Gray Steven Salopek Travis Boak Hamish Hartlett Ben Jacobs (next year) All of these players would be in our best 22 when fit and with the current state of SA football would not be beyond reach in my opinion.

I wouldn't mind snapping up Hannebury and/or Robbie Gray
-
I wouldn't be surprised if Sylvia was a late inclusion for Bate or Scully. We did it with Jones last year against Richmond I think and we know that they are being extremely cautious with Scully's knee.

Never said they didn't know eachother. They happen to be neighbours

Quite possibly haha
