Was a bit of an anomaly considering we've been 11th/3rd/11th/16th in the years before that. 3rd place in 2015 was propped up by Hogan's 47 (third most in the league), and last year Gawn had 55 for third best in the league.

Assume the club might have some sort of bash at VFL coverage once the real stuff starts, but given that the last two weeks have been trial games for senior selection in all but the award of premiership points their commitment to telling people what's going on has been pox.

Was fine for a state league side when they were solo. We've taken off, pulled their website under ours and obviously sent the Twitterist to Tahiti for the winter.

Based on the RIchmond pre-season game Preuss would have been dead by half time if we'd tried to play him as the solo ruckman in the heat. I'd play him this week but has to be as a second banana, not first ruck. Wish there was a mature, competent ruckman we could have parked on the rookie list as an emergency option - if Gawn went down with a serious issue we'd be in all sorts. Got away with it a couple of years ago, don't think we would now.

One team in 120 years coming back from a 0-6 start isn't much of a comfort. May as well say West Coast came back from 0-1 to win the flag last year so start queuing for Grand Final tickets now.

It looks horrible, but considering all the other shenanigans going on around the game not worth starting a picket line over if you were a Dogs fan. Also hard to take the moral highground while following a club that props up its profit by flogging two games interstate every year. I'm sure the stakes are much lower with their novelty jumper but I'd wear anything it meant playing one of the NT games at home.

Nothing on the VFL site (except a full time score with no links) and Casey's website has been wiped out for a half-arsed sub-page on the MFC site. Hadn't considered NEAFL site but nada from them or the Lions either. Now, I know the interested audience would be limited to single digits but I still need this for the sake of completeness. Have tweeted @ the Casey account to see if they have anything.

Thank you. Trawling the tweets for goalkickers still leaves me four short (Bradtke 2, Chandler 2, Melksham 2, Bradford 1, Collis 1, Sparrow 1, Viney 1) but it's a start. Future generations of insane people who want VFL practice match scores thank you.
