  1. The tour that Hawthorn claimed didn't happen must have been a raging success.
  2. If we improve enough in 2020 we can get shafted by next year's priority pick too.
  3. Does anyone seriously think Martin would be the player he is today if we'd drafted him? He'd have ODed on sleeping pills with Daniel Connors then rammed a chopstick through somebody's head after being revived. Meanwhile, have we ever drafted somebody post-jail? I know Jurrah and Fabian Francis landed there after playing for us, and I'm told Robert Walters did too but not sure for what, but trying to think of somebody we got after they'd been in the clink.
  4. Open but only in an even season. More likely we'll get good just in time for a Hawthorn '88 or Essendon '00.
  5. What about the Adelaide bloke called 'Anzac' - that name will get over huge if he makes their list.
  6. Would help identify the regulars who shouldn't be playing.
  7. Brayshaw's third place is the most overrated stat around. We mock Brownlow votes for being ridiculously slanted to midfielders and know full well he wasn't in the top 30 players in the league last year let alone top three but still get caught up in comparing his seasons like there's something new to be learnt. We all know he was ordinary this year, don't need umpires to tell me.
  8. Do we get our priority pick for 2013 at the same time?
  9. Good name. Silly name.
  10. The good news you don't have to wait long for a sixth.
  11. About time we had another bash at an Irishman but I would like Ronan Devereux just for his charismatic name.
  12. And I bet you first bounce Round 1, 2020 he's lining up as first ruck for Casey not as a forward. If we're going to have a Reserves team it needs to be used for development, not to try and win an increasingly meaningless cup.
  13. The AFL doesn't give a fat rat's clacker about disadvantage.
  14. No way they're going to have the Suns lose a home derby, that would be one of the few games they'd be able to drum up interest in.
  15. And the pokies money. And the memberships going south again. Plenty of shortfall only partially offset by Anzac/QB home games next year.
  16. I don't even want to punch on about this season, there's no point. If we're pox next year when everyone started the season fit and there are no excuses then bring the chaos.
  17. That was the great night where my question about player mental health after 2011 and half of 2012 was being addressed and he said they didn't need a psychologist because any player who felt upset could talk to a coach (!!!?!). I'm still upset at not asking supplementary questions to argue how stupid his point was.
  18. I went to the post-186 AGM and the mid-2012 Members Information Session with Neeld and both times the audience (myself included) squibbed the opportunity to verbally punch on. I'm not nearly as upset about this season as many of the people on here but tempted to go just to see if we can finally get a stand-up argument between a fan and a club official.
  19. So the AGM is separate? Why wouldn't you just do them at the same time, the anguished questions from the floor (that never turn into the punch up we all want) are the only thing worth going to the AGM for.
  20. Would be interested in the rankings shown as a percentage of contests. Might not be any better considering we were only (?) 10th worst in the comp at conceding inside 50s but would still give a better indication.
  21. I see Hawthorn reckon they haven't met him. Must have just been at Waverley buying a milkshake or something ?
  22. He posted it to 39,000 Instagram followers first. I'm struggling to understand the issue.
  23. Not like he hacked Jones' phone to get it.
