  1. I cannot recall this being done.It was actually Stuart Grimshaw whom went through the finances. Changes in jumper announcements were: Jurrah to gain 24 which we all knew and Warnock will wear 1. There was about 250 standing and I was told around 2500 in total. I was talking to Sean Wight whom said tonight was unbelievable- the spirit with JIMMA AROUND IS JUST UNBELIEVABLE AND CATCHY. I felt tonights meeting was also that as well as a feeling that the club wants to make our club one big family. Other significant factors were raised By Cam Schwab which were the driving mechanism of the club was around membership and the strategic plan , they have budgeted for 31500 members Concentration would be around the Casey & Melbourne Councils where in Casey the growth is expectd to unbelievable. 450 thousand are expected to reside in Casey within 20 years. This ,I believe ,would make it as big as Canberra now. The club are going to concentrate on students- and younger persons- similar to Hawthorn .It is felt the Hawthorn club multiplied enormously around the likes of Franklin etc..WOW- what is going to happen when we have many icons. The club is working with the Melbourne City Council with regards homeless persons. Injuries to players was discussed were Jamar who has a hamstring injury will return to full training next week. Bate - is suffering from a hot spot on a sesamoid bone in his toe- played with this condition for virtually all of last year and they are trying to heal it before season starts. Johnson-foot-will start jogging next week Meeson making just slow progress Garland- nearly there, maybe two weeks away from full traing-to me that was the greatest news for the night. Blease back in full traioning, needs to gain confidence. Wonaeamirri 70% right.Bails feels he would or hopefully be right for 3rd NAB game. Staff looked amazing - neat ,well groomed. That is what I recall- good night folks. Forgot one thing--The atmosphere was amazing. Jimma,Bails were in one thought when both of them said--We can't wait --bring it on. GO DEES.
  2. Are you saying you knew about this -before Stokes was charged? re your statement,---but according to one of his associates who I've seen just a short while ago, Stokes is telling the truth. You really have some network !
  3. We will put up with it but wasn't we offered a free server by one of our Demonland members. And yes- Sorry I mistook Black for Dark Blue- my old eyes are starting to go on me. Sorry for that.
  4. What a site- Although a few hickups now and then, I want to congratulate all whom have been involved in this new facade of our website. However, it is slightly dissapointing that the Black is a must- the Blue of our new guernsey wiould have been ideal. Andy - WELL DONE and thank you all.
  5. There is a reason they are forgotten. Cheney is not fast enough and we have enough plodders. MacDonald will be a defender. Sylvia (how could I forget him) and Petterd are also in the mix. Aside from McKenzie I think the rookies will have less chance than the forgotten crew --posted by R.R-. I understand your point however in discussing Cheney last week at training it was thought, he along with Mckenzie,Grysberts etc.. could actually develop into a Ling type. You will also find that Joel MacDonald WILL run through the guts at times. He has been training all pre season for this task along with Cheney, Bennell etc..
  6. You missed out the possibility of adding the forgotten players Rohan Bail,Bell,Bartram,as well as Cheney could definitely run through the guts, along with Petterd,MacDonald and McNamara with a definate Sylvia. Rookies one could add are Healey, McKenzie and Hughes.Note Hughes as been training as a back flanker.
  7. I agree. He will become either Mr Fixit or Flexible- type of replacement for Cam Bruce. He could play CHB,CHF, WING,Midfield, basically wherever Bails or the match committee want him. The way he played on Goodes and beat him hands down really excites me
  8. However, I recall him saying that the match committee were looking at him (Grimes) as a midfielder too.We all need to realise that Grimes has only played 12 games of football at this stage.Agree re Jamar- He would be my choice in the short term. The other GREAT NEWS- CC spoke about was Colin Garland. He was very vocal about him playing and in the backline. Great to hear him speak like that as I was concerned he may never play again like Egan at Geelong.
  9. Great summation by the previous posts.I was surprised to hear him say that they (MFC) had gone past their first step and now had to consolidate.Consolidation was meant as an all round situation. Re the finances, the coaches etc.. Believed Strauss could add to the backline and will be given opportunities. Sang the praises of players already mentioned but Bennell was also singled out.Agree with previous post that the MAJOR surprise was when he felt Spencer would develop as N0. 1 ruckman. Wow, if Spencer and say Gawn could make it-what a double to give the midfielders the first opportunities. CC gave me a HUGE lift- he basically said "BRING IT ON" -cannot wait till Thursday night to get another positive slant on things.Lastly said the biggest thing for the club right now is for Jimmy to regain his health.
  10. I think we will be notified of any change to Dean Bailley's coaching contract on the night. At least I am hopeful we members get told then the press gain confirmation.
  11. This statement above is absolutely correct. It seems to be his running style that the football department is working on possibly under the care of Bohdan.
  12. http://www.sportingpulse.com/assoc_page.cgi?client=1-118-0-0-0&sID=60264&&news_task=DETAIL&articleID=11104727&sectionID=60264 shows the current going on's with Faulk following German to Williamstown. We lost Silvani to Freo and gained Scot Simpson from Geelong. We need a tall backman now.
  13. Yes.I see Cale becoming Mr Flexible- CHB,CHF,WING, RUCK ROVER,CENTRE- WHETHER THE COACH WANTS TO PLACE HIM. However, he needs to put on say another 5 kgs at least. He will become a SUPERSTAR.
  14. Under the current draft rules won't we have to wait till---2012 to draft him as he was born 13-Apr-1994 . as per http://www.norwoodfc.com.au/News/LATESTNEWS/U16sSTATESQUADANNOUNCED.aspx. Please advise !
  15. Actually only 18- not 19 till 26th March.
  16. I suppose the answer has to be "not sure": but, VERY HOPEFUL
  17. For the first time on Demonland- I truthfully say- NO COMMENT- But I hope you can either RUN or was good at footy. And I hope you are over 5 ft.
  18. Thanks for pointing this out- I changed it accordingly.
  19. Just to bring it to your attention still happening today-Service Temporarily Unavailable The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to maintenance downtime or capacity problems. Please try again later. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Apache/1.3.41 Server at demonland.com Port 80 Error 503 shows However, if you log out and back in,it generally comes up.Some other times when you try to get into Demonland forums it happens as well. Thanks for amount of time you are spending on this matter
  20. Very fair comment-however getting sick of the recurrent foot injury and hamstrings.I am no Doctor but we may have to send Wona & Davey to Germany for treatment similar to Rooke etc...
  21. Agreed- And we still have Jack Viney waiting in the wings. I just looked up Cale Morton's beep test and it was 15.2 in 2007.This just highlights the incredible fitness of Scully. Scully beat Morton by a level in the YO-YO test Friday. The level of fitness these young boys possess it is unbelievable based on Paul Roos thoughts that initial draft picks are well behind seasoned footballers. Thanks for pulling me up Keyser
  22. Thanks to Natham we are gaining knowledge of the current position of our players current fitness.Yesterday , straight after the the Yo-Yo test the day before, the players were tested over a 2kl run. Results were Morton, then Jones/Scully a second away. We have always known that Jones & McLean really pushed each other over years gone by however the new boys on theblock in this area are Morton & Scully along with Natham.I find it fascinating and great that Morton's fitness has come on at this magnitude. His speed, strength, stamina as well as ability sets himself up for whatever position Bails wants him to play. I personally think he will play CHF in the intra club matches and maybe NAB cup.Or maybe the ruck as we have little to back up Martin at this time- Only rassin. It is also interesting to read that McLean is a leader in the fitness stakes at Carlton. My analogy is that we must be up there with them. And what about Scully- WOW.
  23. As per Aplha 33's new thread - I repeat his post The middle page spread of the Sunday Age sports section contains an injury list of sorts for each of the clubs. I'm certain its not comprehensive but perhaps we can use it as a basis to determine the true health of our list. I've got them down in alphabetical order:- Matthew Bate (foot) - Sam Blease (leg) - Colin Garland (foot) - Paul Johnson (foot) - John Meesen (foot) - Austin Wonaeamirri (hamstring) - Those are the players listed in the article as being on modified programmes but just off the top of my head I would add that Mark Jamar and newcomer Max Gawn (recovering from ACL op) should also be on the list although it has been mentioned that Jamar is due to resume full training this week. Not 100% sure about this but I think his problem was also the foot. We seem to have struck the jackpot with foot issues. Only two other AFL clubs have players listed with foot injuries and they have one case each: Fremantle (Ryan Crowley) and North Melbourne (Ben Cunnington). Co-incidence or a real cause for concern? Whilst 3 are old injuries--- the others are still a concern. I refer to my opening post-- where Iask the question,Maybe we need to analyse our football department further regarding our Doctors etc.. in this area,to prevent these injuries, especially reoccuring. We cannot afford to have issues similar to Joel Smith happen to our wonder players such as Watts, Scully, Trengove etc.. Need to do something & NOW.
  24. I can asure you I did not know that Paul Johnson had a long term injury until I went to training in December. Please advise me how you knew? All I knew is Johnson played out the last games of the year as the sole ruckman, except when he played back pocket whilst Meeson has been injured for 20 odd months now.
  25. You are a complete GOOSE. To make comparisons only by photos shows me why you post the crap you do. Only comparison I can make is they look a year older.
