  1. Maybe package warnock with a pick and try to get a half decent player. if scully decides to go we will have enough picks unless we try to upgrade our 2nd or 3rd rnd pick. would rather a player tho!!
  2. Harf just said on sen that warnock has asked the club to be traded, the article is on (sportsnews first) Not sure how to assign a link to this post, so if someone can that would be great!!
  3. I talked to trengove after last weeks game against brisbane and i asked him are u all good, and he said yer just having a weeks rest and i should play next week. not sure what the go is there hes not on the injury report, thats 3 weeks without a game not great preparation going into rnd 1!!!
  4. I was there to watch the boys today,i must say i was pretty disappointed from watching the game, although we were missing 10 regular starters we just couldnt hit our targets and was wasteful all day handballing our teamates in to trouble etc. we have no forward line at one stage maric was playing at full forward. And we just kick long with no one even in the forward 50, they ran the ball out of defence way to easily when they got us on the rebound. I would say half there score was from our mistakes or created from there back half line. After saying all that i understand we were missing alot of players and they brang some of there experienced heads in which often showed around the contests. 3 highlights for me today were: -tapscott- very good thumping kick, could possibly get a start rnd 1 if he continues to show good signs. a tough nut too standing up for teamates and not affraid to have a go. did say he was cramping late in the game, hence why he finished the game off on the bench. -jetta by far our best on the ground showed a bit of class and got plenty of it. also getting his own contested football. needs to be more consistent, did talk to him after the game and said he was quite sore. -maric once again made the most of his opportunities and got involved in the game. has to get first crack at our NO1 crumbing role in the team.(IMO) wouldnt be surprised if we play a pretty weak team next week, if where going to be travelling. BRING ON RND 1 I SAY WITH A FULL STRENGTH TEAM!!!
  5. Davey did limp off late in the 4th quarter on friday night but did manage to come back on. so id say he probaly would get a rest considering hes coming back from a broken leg last year. (just to be cautious) Garland sustained a calf injury so you would think he wont play too. And maybe a few of the older guys would prob get a rest i reckon. There was talk jurrah was going to be rested for friday night!
  6. Moloney may do stuff that you wont notice. hes not the most polished footballer going around thats for sure. but i think his problem last night was that he dived on the ball rather than keeping his feet. personally i dont think he was in our best 5 or 6 last night.
  7. last night reminded me of a couple of years ago, where we go backwards with the footy and handballed our team mates in to trouble. especially in the backline this costs us on the scoreboard!!!
  8. 1- james frawley is one of our most important players 2- matthew warnock is not in our best team 3- we missed abit of polish in our midfield,(tom scully) 4- thank god grand finals are not played at etihad (we would never win one)
  9. in demonland mkll it says the draft is on april 10 the season will already be started. and 2 hours per pick it says. lol

  14. I know there has already been a report done, but I had this ready so just a bit more on training this morning! Was a light training session but the boys were still pretty clean and there was a good vibe out there amongst the group. The group started off doing there warm up drills, before moving into some kicking and full ground drills, where they were moving the ball from end to end and finish there work off with a shot at goal (just about every time converted). After that the backs and mids did a bit of contested work whilst the forwards had shot at goals, and some 9 pointer attempts. Wattsy was practicing his leading at the ball carrier and looked quite impressive. All in all I walked away pretty impressed although it was a light training session still very little ball hit the ground. Highlights:- Stefan Martin - looks like he's ready for a good year, has some size about him. Matthew Bate- looks very fit and was taking some good grabs in the drills. Colin Sylvia - is all class and with a full pre-season he could be in for a big year. Nathan Jones - was moving freely and looks to be over his back injury. Should play tomoro I reckon. Brad Green- leading from the front on the training track and after having photos with kids. Great to see Lucas Cook- was leading up very well in the full ground drill. Liam Jurrah- the clown of the group having a laugh, great to see he feels comfortable around the club. Jake Spencer - has had a good pre-season by the looks of it and could be a good substitute player. Rehab group:- Tom Scully Jordie McKenzie Cale Morton James Frawley & - one other who I couldn't pick up who it was! Absent:- Wonnas Gysberts Newton Tom McNamara Tapscott Gawn Fitzpatrick & - quite a few more It seems most of our young kids were not training, wasn't a great sign but I'm not too worried, could possibly be doing some work inside. I believe the guys training today was the playing group for tomorrow. Should have a good side in. Feel free to correct me or if I have missed something. Hope you enjoyed the report: Go Dees.
  15. yer not as a player, he has joined the club as GM strategy. a job within the club im pretty sure correct me if im wrong but thats the way i understand it!!
  16. good report "BHIMA" thankss im going down 2moro and i must say im pretty excited to see the boys run around and also see who's on the track 2moro! ill give a descriptions of the day if nobody already has. GO DEE BOYS!!!!
  17. obviously if tom really wanted to sign he would, but if my manager said to me just dont sign yet and we will see what melbournes best offer is i know what my response would be. especially that tom is only coming into his second year. if he has a ripper of a year his price is only going to increase, hence the reason why we moved our older players on earlier than normal and why we were front ending contracts. exactly for this sort of scenario so that we could hold on to our up and coming stars.
  18. Are u serious mate im trying to provide some good information from someone inside the club and your trying to tell me its "pup" you dont even no what your talking about its not hard for "most" to understand tom is set on staying at melbourne but his management has told him not resign "yet" to try and provide tom with the best contract possible. if you have a problem with what i post, i wont bother seeing its from someone inside the club. no appreciation what so ever!!!
  19. was talking to a cousin yesterday who is best mates with "adam paulo" melbournes assistant fitness coach. and asked him if he knows anything about "sculls" leaving and adam laughed and said the club is almost 100% sure tom scully will not be leaving. he said tom has told the club that he has no intentions of going to GWS because he believes it wont help advance and improve him as a footballer. he also said that it was toms management putting off contract negotiations not tom. Tom would resign if he could he said. And that it is expected tom will sign a TWO year contract but obviously not for some time yet. he is catching up with adam again this week and he will let me no what adam has to say..... ANYTHING IMPORTANT I WILL POST ON THIS FORUM
  20. Melbourne would se silly to not consider him, he has already proved he is good enough to match it at this level kicking 50 goals in a year. + picking up "ANTHONY" is only going to help the likes of watts, bate etc. for a PSD pick or late draft pick i think this is a great get for the MFC.
  21. Please go to melbourne's 2nd rnd pick 32 (E25) Thanks
  22. dont want him, but where did u hear this?
  23. the mystery man is "tyson goldsack" from collingwood
  24. Not sure Hale is worth our 2nd rnd pick, but I have full trust in our FD and believe they know what there doing. Do think we need to get another pick elsewhere if we give up our 2nd rounder!
  25. Good to hear jones has re-signed with the MFC for 2 years
