    After watching the draft player videos i am interested to see who demonlanders want to pick up at pick12: ill kick it off with about 5 players any of which i would want to get at pick 12 Sam docherty: dashing HBF uses the ball well out of defence Liam sumner: gets a fair bit of it, good in close and not a bd mark for his size Toby greene: similar to sumner, very good in and under player Brad mckenzie: reads the play well and has a beautiful left foot Mitchell grigg: finds plenty of the ball avg 24 touches, nice left foot and can kick a goal ATM im leaning towards a Docherty or Grigg!! Interested to hear other ppls opinions

    If they tried to bid for pick 1 and GWS replied we have already been offered better, then the club will have to wait n bid for pick 2!! ill try and find the link now, some1 else also wrote it in another thread!!

    yer i know that!! But from what ive heard is all the picks are seperate bidding systems. so if a club feels pick 1 would cost too much, they then wait to bid for pick 2 when pick 1 is gone!!

    Well clubs can bid for what pick they want!! so if a club feels pick 1 would cost too much they can therefore bid for 1 of the later picks!! Players in this mini draft will not be in nxt years mini draft coz its 17 yr olds. so thats the incentive if theres a player u really want eg. o'meara. He will be in the ND nxt year!!

    RPFC the mini draft is totally seperate to the national draft, this does not affect our picks in ND. i think there are about 26 17yr olds in the mini draft where theres only 4 picks but gws dont have to hand all 4 picks out this year!!

    From what i have gathered is that u can bid for pick 1 or pick 2, which are seperate bidding systems!! GWS then choose the best possible deal for each pick and hand out picks 1 or 2. They do have 4 pick and they dont all have to be used this year. someone plz correct me if im wrong!! A question i have of my own is if we traded our pick after our 1st rnder to gws, when they use that pick does it go off our ladder position or theres?? Therefore if they finish last next year and they get that pick they will have picks 1 and 2!!

    Because in my post i said "I know alot of ppl dont believe much written on this news site" so i dont i think we need compasrissons on how reliable this site is!! How bout we just comment on the topic which was "Goddard to carlton". Btw i have no problem with ppl critcising my threads, but i wouldnt necessarilly say that is crticising my thread!!

    Just reading (SNF) theres an article about carlton chasing goddard. "I know alot of ppl dont believe much written on this news site" But it does say goddard would consider a move to a club close to a premiership, now what does that mean?? in the nxt year or 2 or before his career is is in its twilight! I strongly believe MFC should make a strong play for him and also offer him the captaincy silmilar to judd at "calrscum" (He is a proven leader!) Also Gilbert, Ray, Dawson and Peake considering their furure! Do you think any of them would appeal to us?? Carlton in bid for Goddard

    That could be a possibility but i think more likely a straight swap between the hawks and dees: warnock to hawthorn, lisle to melbourne and possibly a pick upgrade for the hawks.

    I think 'MFC' best chance of landing a big fish will be next year; penlebury, goddard etc. Hopefully next year we have some onfield sucess which will entice these players to want to come and play for our football club. Also offer them the captaincy like "carlscum" did to judd!!

    Totally agree, i just hope we are going to be active in trade week. Try and bring stars into our club, not players who arnt great kicks!!

    Theres an article on "afl.com.au" that palmer has told freo he does not seek a contract extension, and also says an afl club (victorian based) is after his services. Interesting to find out who that club is! More than likely will end up at GWS i think. Palmer ends life with Freo

    I believe we should approach the draft and trade period with an open mind. In the trade period with some players wanting to leave (maybe) we should see which deal appeals most to benefit the MFC club. In saying that I do believe MFC need to chase some hard bodies around the midfield eg.(dangerfield) and also a strong KPF eg.(dawes), otherwise i believe our team balance will be too light!! If the pick is more appealing than the player obviously take the pick. very excited about this period coming up!! )
