  1. Went down today to have a look, training drills were good and skills were at a good level but as soon as we got into match simulation and there was some pressure applied they turned to pretty poor unfortunately. Did notice a lot of switching the play out of defence but if our skills were at today's level we will find ourselves under extreme pressure. I'm not going to reiterate everything said by fellow posters: A few notes I took from the game were: * TMac, Nicho and Grimes very poor disposal out of defence * Michie and cross were good in close * Frawley looked very very good in defence * Tyson was good, problem was he wore Trengove's number 9 after 1/4 time as Trenners only played a quarter * Hogan presented well even though it was not entirely going his way * Toumpas and Salem best on in first half * JKH impressed me most out of anyone today, exactly what where crying out for All in all today was not all that impressive however, we all know it's going to take time under Roosy. There were some very good signs from individuals but as a collective we have a lot of improvement to go!!!
  2. Almost certain using those later picks on rookie upgrades are counted in the 3 changes required
  3. I don't believe and I hope this trade will not eventuate, MFC said they were only interested in trading pick 2 for quality midfielders and that's what it should be. These players don't solve our midfield problems, I would rather go to the draft and be patient and wait for a Kelly or Aish to develop. Not excited by this trade at all
  4. So we find out Friday what the clubs are getting compensated for losing free agents. Thank god for that might open the flood gates up for trades to eventuate. Bcoz atm it's just all speculative talk.
  5. I'm not sure how your comparing Michie to Magner when Michie is on the fringe of one of the better Midfields in the league and Magner can't get a regular game in one of the worse Midfields in the comp. Admitedly Magner is on the rookie list but he is still yet to prove himself and Michie is the same but winning his clubs B n F as a 21 yr old says he knows how to play the game to me. I'll be excited to see Viv hopefully flourish under Roos but will not hold any high expectations on the kid immediately.
  6. Funny you say that because that crossed my mind the longer it went on. Thought I got banned for saying something
  7. Thought it was just mine....but all good!! Didn't know what to do to fill in time while it was off:)
  8. Just curious, did anyone else's demonland cut out from about 5 to 8 or was it just my net??
  9. Im agreeing with you DT, however i do believe next years results with have some sort of impact on his decision. Maybe not so much results but definetely the way the team performs. Otherwise i see no reason why he wouldnt just re-sign now. whats he waiting for??
  10. 100% agree DT, lead by example and re-commit to this club. Do not wait for next season and base your decision on next years results, waiting only leaves yourself open to offers from opposition clubs and will create indecision.
  11. Fair enough, seen it pop up on the MFC website so thought i'd share it.
  12. We have only got 6 senior list spots available with hogan coming on to the senior list, so you need to delist 3 more players. who??
  13. Josh Mahoney interview with 5AA this morning http://www.melbournefc.com.au/video/2013-10-15/radio-interview-5aa-josh-mahoney Not sure if someone has already posted a link so i apologise if there has
  14. Yer fair point. However as it stands we have 7 senior list spots available(pretty sure Hogan was on our senior list in 2013) not including if we trade out a jamar, Blease or Tapscott, so if we turn pick 70 into a 30-50"s pick through a trade I'd still like to see us give a Chris Cain or a Kane lambert a chance at AFL level.
  15. I'm similar Spirit but would change a couple, with a bit of luck neededTrade 2 for Shiel 22 for Myers(1st preference) or Vince 54 for Michie Delisted FA- Cross Draft 21-Dunstan 36-Z.jones 70-Cain 78-upgrade Clisby Possibility: Tapscott/Blease for Lyons and pick. Would rather hold on to both
  16. Just out of curiosity if we were to land either Bernie Vince or David Myers with our 2nd live pick(20ish), who would be a greater acquisition to our club. I know Essendon have said said Myers is required players but I still feel he is gettable. Personally I believe Myers because of his age and size but not much splitting the 2
  17. Hopefully when we trade/sign Viv it will be the start of more trades to come
  18. Well clearly I didn't mean the trade specifically as I didn't agree with it, but I liked the strategic thinking of it. We all know posters mock trades will almost certainly not eventuate, but he's just starting some discussion in pretty quiet start to trade week. Didn't hurt my feelings at all, say all you want. Personally and that's personally just don't find the point of putting fellow posters (supporters) down
  19. Please let me know what part of my post was embarrasing? I voiced my opinion on what I (personally) considered to be an uneven deal for most parties. And that I believe T mac should stay Bcoz of chip frawley's contractual situation and the fact MFC are not in a situation to be trading out a young promising defender. But if your the sought that comes on here to put others down that's fine best of luck just not what I do, each to their own. Btw you know what's embarrassing you mentioning in a post earlier in the year that you have turned off your tv and are not renewing your membership when the (our) club needs u most, I'm sure u will be a member when we eventually come good. Cheers mate Good vibes, don't let people deter you from voicing ur opinion on this forum, liked the thinking but just didn't agree it suited all parties involved. ?
  20. Adelaide will do that deal in a heart beat!! Not sure about gws though. Tom McDonald had a poor finish to the year but we must keep him especially if chip decides to leave. Not bad though:)
  21. Dees trade Jamar as clean-out continues Mark Jamar has apparently mutually agreed with the MFC to be traded. WHats his currency? I would say at best 2nd rounder but most likely somewhere in the 3rd or 4th round. Does this mean we may use Mitch Clark in the ruck or are we going to rely on our three inexperienced ruckman?
  22. Even though minimal interest, don't know why we would be interested in Andrejs Everitt http://m.theage.com.au/afl/afl-news/lions-weigh-up-trade-for-dogs-grant-20131009-2v8qn.html
  23. Wished I had a license to follow Roosy arnd for these 3 weeks. Would love to know who, and why he is soo confident. Arghh
