When I first heard the podcast when it began I thought it was pretty low quality (production wise) and too dry for my liking. It is now my favourite Melbourne Demons podcast (and there are a few out there!) Well done guys, the discussion is always intelligent and engaging, I love listening to it while I'm working or driving somewhere. @Binman, the lack of stats and analysis in the mainstream media has been a huge bugbear of mine for a long time as well. Champion Data don't even release the "Prospectus" anymore which I used to buy each year for an overview. Sure not everyone is going to enjoy it but with the amount of media coverage you'd think there would be some market for that type of coverage. What there is is extremely limited and those that do do some more in depth coverage like Mark McGowan on the AFL website get the flick!

My thinking is they'll bring in Weid and Sparrow but I could easily see it being Brown and Harmes (assuming he's recovered from his wrist fracture). My only concern with Brown coming in is the potential to upset our forward half pressure as he is notorious for going missing once the ball hits the ground. Weid on the other hand doesn't mind laying the odd crunching tackle.

I've seen articles he's written begin with phrases such as, "Watched the Bombers game last night." Not, "I watched the Bombers game" just "Watched the Bombers game". And he is the chief football writer at the city's most widely read paper, his articles are written as though he is half [censored] having a chat at the pub.

No, the point was that to assume a player is good just because he was picked up by the Hawks/Clarko is illogical. Plenty of others on that list too.

It was Viney and he tried to bait him again yesterday in the 3rd quarter at a centre bounce. Didn't work this time though.

Last time I went to the snow was 13 years ago with a group of mates none of who follow Melbourne. While they were snowboarding I sat in the bar. Before that I went once as a kid with my folks but that's it.

The Richmond guys in front of us were very lippy early on, calling Fritsch soft for wearing a glove etc. Didn't hear boo from them from midway through the 2nd ?

They were also shoving us out of every marking/ruck contest without a whistle being blown. Once we started doing it to them but didn't they sook it up (players and supporters)

I'm going to start bringing cheese platters to the footy just cos I know it'll rile up the ferals.

Who cares? They're just jealous we can afford to go to the snow during the winter while a big night out for them is pumping their dole cheques into the pokies

Any idea when the AFL will actually make a call on this? It's orthodox Easter next Sunday so trying to plan lunch

I'd rather he point to the scoreboard than swing a roundhouse. From the first bounce they obviously had a tactic to belt Max around the ears every time he dropped back in the hole in defence and dump players off the ball especially Oliver, Viney and Petracca. Loved the free Viney gave away in the last 2 minutes was right in front of us and he had been dumped after kicking the footy forward a few seconds earlier without a whistle from the umps. Just decided to charge through the Richmond [censored] for some payback and it didn't matter cos the game was well and truly over. Received plenty of applause and cheers from the southern stand wing.

I love it and I love Kozzie. Finally a bit of mongrel in the team and sucking the other team in costing them goals. Would have been icing if Oliver had nailed his as well.

I love these, they were my two big takeaways from the game as well.
