Correct. Apparently had him against a wall and lifted him off the ground because he was late for training or some such thing. Viney was incensed by the slack attitude generally of the team and Stef copped it I believe.

I get that. And when you are talking about a players contribution on the weekend there will be divergence and most opinions are valid. When it comes to salary, there is touch envy/jealousy or simple real world NFI that gets me. PLus you have relativity which means for everyone its different. Take the current debate about the federal budget and whether its fair or not. Its such a wide concept. If you earn $10 a week then $100 is a lot of money. So a football player should only get $150 right?

Plus incentives for number of games, B&F finish, front loading etc etc

Heard Stef being interviewed on radio and while he didn't say it exactly I don't think he would be coming back. He was being diplomatic but it was clear that there was some ill feeling. And if the story about Viney grabbing him by the throat in the locker room is fair dinkum then you can say it definitely won't be happening....

I'm interested to know what posters here are thinking when they make comments about Frawley like: "I think 600-700 is about what he is worth" and the like.... WTF would people here know about what Frawley is worth? Salary cap management is incredibly difficult and every club has a team of people working full time on all the permutations and combinations. The salary cap has to be paid to someone. It is increasing all the time. It is as much art as science with the possible scenarios and timing of players contracts. It annoys me that some posters make blanket statements about a players dollar value when mostly they have no freaking idea. Some are jealous because they would give their left knacker to don the guernsey (not you Sue!). Some earn $50k a year and think any football player on $100k should thank their lucky stars. Who cares? We want the best list possible. I don't give a flying about what we pay the players as long as they perform.. Those that announce "Frawley is only worth xxxx" should STFU.... Glad thats off my chest......

He was totally disgusted. Nothing much else other than they had to step in to help Melbourne as they were the most dispirited bunch of young men he has ever seen at a footy club. Be in no doubt that the reason we have Jackson and Roos is because of the AFL..

I met Demetriou recently. Asked him about worksafe Victoria and he was gobsmacked they hadn't apparently begun an investigation. He defied anyone to say what happened at Essendon was acceptable behaviour. Said there were over 5000 injections.
