  1. Ok I got bored and counted 'em myself. In 2013 the 3 votes were awarded to a member of the losing team on 13 occasions out of 207 games. I only counted the ones where the games were decided by more than a goal as in a close match a either side could harbour the 3 vote getter. Anyway, it was more than I expected and in most cases was a midfielder like Ablett, Liberatore, Goddard, Selwood and Dangerfield.
  2. Fyffe is obvious. and I don't know enough about the others If I had a 1 in 6 chance of getting a Fyffe yep. I'd do it
  3. Out of interest, anyone know how many players last year got 3 votes in a losing side?
  4. Have said it myself months ago. If I was offered pck 20 I would take it.
  5. I think if they had listened to some of what we had to say that would have done a better job. Ignoring contract status Davey was cooked for his last 2 seasons Jamar had one good year Beemer was a flat track bone way bully Watts has no mongrel Juice was a massive list clogger Bennel the same Weetra Grigic Cook Green last year Bruce, Yze, White all in their final year and a bit Gysberts Tapscott I could go on.... The mob got a few wrong: Dunn Jetta Frawley after 2y Jones after 2y I reckon the mob is ahead....
  6. As Christine Keeler would say, he would say that wouldn't he.
  7. My understanding is that he was asked if he was good to go and as a leader of the club probably had that right. The fact we were playing his old club was most likely a big influence on his decision to play. He was not at 60% and his 0 repeat zero possessions indicate he was well below that. On any optic you care to view this it was an enirely incorrect, selfish decision. And given the background of what was going on at the club between the players and administrators it was an even worse decision. I am not judging his career on one game and if you bothered to read my post I said 'I wasn't really happy etc' - far from skewering his career on one game. So please don't mis-quote me to make your point. And FWIW I marked his card on his last 2yrs output and attitude.
  8. Hird: "I have never said anything publicly that I didn't believe to be true" he says this under oath but also says he didn't agree/believe what he was 'told to say'. Great fun watching him tie himself in knots.
  9. Its like all AFL awards, unless your team wins you don't get shiite. Bob skilton would not have won one brownlow under the current system. I have railed here before about the RS award. It has morphed into a B&F - favouring most games played and those nominated in rd 1-8. Its another media award.
  10. Good to hear. i was a critic of his last two years but I respect his efforts and bowing out with dignity.
  11. What exactly does JH stand for (yes himself I know but...) He says he didnt agree with the presser He says he didn't agree with the plea deal but he was forced into it He says didn't agree with Essendons or his co-operation with ASADA He says he would take full responsibility (but he ddn't want to say that - Gil made him) WTF does this moron stand for or actually agree to?? I know nuffink, I hear nuffink, I say nuffink. He is certifiably insane and its a joy to watch him trash his almighty farrking ego down Australia' s biggest toilet.
  12. Only if you are guilty!!!!!!! The point is you wouldn't go through the presser and fess up if you weren't guilty. What were they fessing up to? ('oh we don't know, we were told to do it' - really?? beggars belief)
  13. Dunn has been ordinary for the past couple of weeks. Was great in the first part of the year. Would need a big finish.
  14. It's totally irrelevant. So what? It should have no bearing. 'hey the police are going to knock on your door tomorrow and charge you with murder' 'Ok well I'll confess first. that way if I am found guilty I will get a lighter sentence'. Hmmmm...
  15. Ah that makes sense. Wouldn't want to find out the truth would we?
  16. Second best finger opinter we ever had. next to Jack Watts of course....
  17. Wasn't real happy with his sleeping through the second half of 186 with stats in the first half of 0K,0M,0H.0T.
  18. Then I suggest you don't know the full story.
  19. Probably Watts because Nicholsons would the ball and turn it over. The Watts' would keep it off them and score.. But it would be bad....
  20. Pretty long as he hasn't been nominated yet!
  21. Its possible they wouldn't win a contested possession.
  22. There is no way in the world GWS will win next week. They already tanked, got belted in the second half this weekend and are now below us on the ladder. They have sent 6 players off for surgery. We are still the only team to win 5 games to deny ourselves a PPick - and we have done it twice! We'll do it a 3rd time for sure (even though the PP is virtually off the table in any case)
  23. A team full of Jack Watts' won't win you a flag either. Including in the VFL
  24. We have led 6 times in the final quarter only to lose. We have achieved something.
