Bombers scandal: charged, <redacted> and <infracted>
jnrmac replied to Jonesbag's topic in Melbourne Demons
ASADA! -
A team full of Jack Watts' won't win you a flag either. Including in the VFL
-
We have led 6 times in the final quarter only to lose. We have achieved something.
-
We have won 10 games in 3 years. If we didn't get one last year after winning 2 games it ain't coming now..
-
But he's not. So how are you left now?
-
See we can't even tank properly....
-
No club would have been that stupid except for us.
-
He could well be. I notice Tyson is playing OK without a pre-season.

Bombers scandal: charged, <redacted> and <infracted>
jnrmac replied to Jonesbag's topic in Melbourne Demons
Ess are trying to have the whole thing thrown out by proving it was an illegal investigation and that ASADA acted outside their powers by conducting a joint investigation. ASADA are saying it is within their powers to conduct a joint investigation but even if it wasn't they could simply start another investigation and get all of the evidence they now have. Ergo throw the Ess case out. They will win. -
Pointing so much is exhausting. No wonder he's buggered.
-
Even his team mates hate him

Bombers scandal: charged, <redacted> and <infracted>

The world knew about Essendon's program. Well not quite but Gerard Healy is on record as saying he approached the AFL to tell them he had heard things were going on at Ess and thats why they had 24 soft tissue injuries. Slobbo is being deliberately mischievous because he is a cheer leader. Demetriou has always said he specifically did not know it was Ess because he was never told by the ACC. This is confirmed in Robbos article. He would have know from other sources but I think you will find he is quite accurate in his words. Having read the ASADA court docs Ess and Hird are faarrrkkked. -
What about brent Molony for swinging and missing!!!! Still can't believe he was suspended for that.

yeah, cos its Demetriou's fault. Silly -
You don't like to listen to other people do you? I don't notice Col not running out games. I notice him getting beaten in one on ones, missing marks, looking like a startled rabbit when he has the ball, taking the wrong options. Simple little things. But hey, he didn't have a full pre season did he, so according to you he can sit down in the back pocket with a deck chair and a pina colada and you'd be fine with it.

Why can't we put in a medical report like everyone seems to do against us!
-
The problem with this assessment is that we are 17th and talking about players that will make us competetive not what players will take us to a flag. The players you mention don't add much, are not getting the job done and have limited upside it would appear. The choice is sticking with them or turning the list over until we find soldiers that can do the job. Or even hit targets!
-
Col simply should be a leader. I hear that he is around the club but on field he doesn't impose himself on games nor inspire his team mates to work better and harder from my observations. And at his age with his games experience we depserately need him to be that player. His form this year is not good and I personally don't buy the missed a pre-season for his woes.

The infamous Andrews Report. Anyone ever seen it? Love to see a copy if someone wants to PM me. Don't read the Guardian but the article is spot on. Tanking is not the reason we are here. It's the poisonous relationship between the football dept and the players/Bailey at the time. The fact it was never dealt with and Schwab's contract was extended is diorectly attributable to the mess we are currently in.

Its a spec job they did in Power Street Toorak. Ordinary house actually. I have spoken to a few tradies who said TH was a nightmare to deal with Surprise surprise. -
It was the Gardner board that told us everything was going fine and we were making profits. And oops we are $5m in debt. How did that happen? Hmmm
-
Re this point, didn't GWS and GC get dibbs on the best 17yo - they were effectively removed from the draft? So I don't think it is accurate to say it didn't affect us..
-
Its bull dust- the players have never been told to lose a game. Any player that is scarred by what happened in 2009 needs to be sacked for being a mental pygmy and a p-ussy.

Melbourne , a team waiting to be beaten - Paul Roos

Then at the very least its one sided - no one points the finger at GWS.. Of course the AFL would sideline if you did.....its pathetic
