  1. http://www.melbournefc.com.au/video/2015-11-27/rookie-draft-pick-no6-josh-wagner Wow pretty impressive. Good big body, can take a mark, can lay a good tackle and every single kick on that video was to a target. Not one kick was a long bomb. Now its a highlights package but a pretty good one. Has a side step and good vision as well.
  2. When a team makes a grand final all the recruiters get to see them in a pressure game I suspect
  3. On Parish to Oliver I daresay you mean... That's interesting if not a little disconcerting that they would decide so late.......I guess Parish raised some of the same questions with the recruiters that have been raised here. Lightly framed versus big body ready to go.
  4. Classy left footer. What's not to like. Anyone notice a pattern? Are we channeling hawthorn?
  5. "Hey we are going to spend $750 on a dodgy drugs scheme but we don't any records. So how about we just pay you cash." It gets curioser and curiouser...
  6. Yeah I agree. I wrote about this a month or so ago. They have drafted appallingly. They were always going to have some busts and go-home factor but they have made some real recruiting blunders. I do believe a large part of their strategy though was to recruit talent that they could trade in future rather than go for a large contingent of established talent/experience.
  7. You look a lot faster when, you don't turn the ball over, hit targets, have players running and spreading etc. Confidence in the game plan and better skills will transform the way our team looks. As Roos has said previously, the Dees needed more talent, bigger bodies and competetive players. I think the past 3 drafts have largely done that. Certainly within the restrictions of trading/drafting rules.
  8. Great. Lets rehash this for the 1000th time...
  9. Everyone missed out on Fyffe at least once. Ce la vie.
  10. Lets just hope Mitch Robinson is one of them next season...
  11. No. More than 10 games.
  12. Exactly my thoughts. Clearly didn't watch the highlights package. The guy is a beast.
  13. Needs to fix that up big time...
  14. So Tom McDonald and Dean Kent who were both drafted later than both if these guys must have done really well with your odds of 10/90 against making it??
  15. Weideman doesn't do it for me.... Just sayin... My tip: Parish Collins...
  16. Fair cop. I missed those. Not too good are they! perhaps the good burghers of the tribunal don't read Demonland...
  17. Parish looks a similar style to Heppell IMO ..from limited viewing of highlights.
  18. Which bits are defamatory? If it is repeating what is already in the public domain (ie newspapers) there isn't really an issue. If its calling Peter Foster a conman, well he has served time for that. If its calling Shane Charter dodgy well its true.
  19. But we are supposedly looking for competetive players....so maybe he fits the bill.... Personally I am wary about the late bolter at the draft table... 6 months good form to win the Morrish is great but would want to ensure his pedigree from a long way back is good...
  20. Oliver is a real bullock. Love his attack on the footy and the player. Good evasive skills, good amount of time and space. Its an impressive highlights reel. Doesn't seem to have the 'silk' factor which you probably want to see at a pick 3 but it seems you like you would get a bona fide inside mid workhorse in the mould of, say, a Dane Swan or Oliie Wines....
  21. I remember seeing Dunn play a fwd tagging role on Deledio and not only killing him but kick 5 goals.... He did play quite a bit up fwd under Bailey from my recollection..
  22. I always have to laugh at this comment. Best available now? or Best player in 2, 3 or 4 years? Every draft in retrospect is vastly different to the actual draft......
  23. If he's like Heppell why would EFC be into him?
