I have trouble with the fact it was legal up until Dec 31 and the Australian Open in January its not legal. I have read all of the arguments and explanations that I could but this still seems to me to be a bit harsh. Yes you have to draw the line and have a cut off date and the fact she was warned multiple times is damning. Is it possible there were residual amounts in her system?

Could Melbourne have Western Bulldogs-like resurgence in 2016?
jnrmac replied to Curry & Beer's topic in Melbourne Demons
Well no it hasn't actually. You might be exaggerating I think. Unusual for you as I usually find your posts pretty factual. And for your information I was responding to another poster so feel free to ignore my posts on the subject. Just because you started the thread doesn't mean you 'own' the thread. Have a lovely evening. -
err he was playing with injury....

Yep. Can't sugar coat things. It is what it is as Mark Neeld would say. We won but the performance was poor against a young inexperienced side. -

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - CLAYTON OLIVER
jnrmac replied to Freddy Fuschia's topic in Melbourne Demons
If you leave the ground to bump you have problems with whatever results. If you leave the ground when you have the ball its not his problem. But you are right about he MRP WTF knows what they will do in any given case. -
Christian Petracca's toe injury (in full training)
jnrmac replied to DeeSpencer's topic in Melbourne Demons
Hopefully it is because they are taking extra time with a foot injury. Frost was out most of the year with a toe so maybe they erred on the side of caution with tracc. He has been training for some time just not playing or training with the main group. On this one I am happy to wait to make sure we get it right..... -
WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - BEN KENNEDY
jnrmac replied to MadAsHell's topic in Melbourne Demons
I love posts like this... Did we? Gee we are good bunch of fellows. I could assure you that this was not even in our thinking. Not even on the radar screen. Maybe forward pressure? Maybe goal sense? Maybe speed? nah. let's just give him some games in a row poor fella. Could hardly get 2 in a row at the Pies. how unfair of them. -
My blood pumps harder and longer watching Sharapova play....... And weren't Nike quick to step away from their contract with her.....The EFC sponsors should take note.....
-
Oh you mena the guy who they have named their player development academy after?? bwahhahahahahahah

Just watched it for the first time. Oliver is exciting and has the smarts. Kennedy is goal hungry and needs to fix his disposal. Has a tank but is hard at it. We still can't hit targets. Infuriating. I don't acceopt the wind excuse because the dogs could hit them. Harmes did some nice things The tackling was a quality above what we dished up last year. Very few dumb high tackles or in the back. The players are taking an extra spit second to assess before committing. I liked that a lot. Garland isn't a smart footballer. Gawn got a huge number of taps but very few effective. The sahrked him well. Watts was better but still has infuraiting paoses of commitment Wagner looked a bit lost out there. Garlett is all class. We were handball happy out there and seemed to go back to our old ways. Maybe that was the plan into the wind... Seemed like a lot of backwards handball to me Grimes was a lot better but is still way too slow with his decision making from a stoppage. McDonald was woeful in the 1st but wasn''t too bad after that. We went three up for marks so many times I lost count. The talk today wasn't good. Liked Bugg's work. He's hard at it. A wins a win.

Tom McDonald needs to take a good hard look at himself.

Anyone else notice that in the photo he doesn't appear to be wearing a mouthguard? Needs to sort that out.... -

Well they need to drill themselves to get the ball in the hands of the good disposers, Dunn and Salem. As for the DE stats, I never rate them because they don't look at the whether the player was under pressure or not. There should be a stat for a player under no pressure and player under duress finding a teammate. -
Err they were not punished for taking performance enhancing drugs. Can we get that straight? The EFC were punished for engaging in conduct that is "unbecoming or likely to prejudice the interests or reputation of the Australian Football League or to bring the game of football into disrepute, contrary to rule 1.6" in that they failed to keep records of their suplements regime etc etc There was nothing to do with taking illegal drugs because at that point they hadnt been found guilty of that. No sympathy from me....as far as I am concerned they tried to get out of the whole sage by destroying records. They have gotten off lightly. Remind again what has happened to Hird? What 'punishment' has he been subjected to?

I'm worried about this game. Massive walk to the G, many past players attending. A big build up for then in their first home game,. I hope they get smacked round 1 and we follow up with round 2 but I'm nervous about it

How about MWCP2016??

In fairness we were all pretty happy when he arrived. He was the first big name signing we had for a long time and his initial performances were inspiring. It was dark times for us and his on-field swagger and dominance was a breath of fresh air and helped our young players stand taller. Its just a shame it was such a mirage.. The injury he received was a massive blow and the resulting shenanigans left a very bitter taste in our mouths. Most, if not all, of the sympathy he garnered evapourated with the Geelong deal. So re-thinking the dodged bullet, maybe we salvaged the best we could from the deal in the end.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - JOSHUA WAGNER

Do you think? 5 mins in his first game at this level isn't enough to write him off completely as a spud? This is Demonland after all....... -
I have heard stories the club were VERY glad to see tha back of him..... So yes dodged a bullet...

Angus Brayshaw's knee injury (minor strain - 4 weeks)
jnrmac replied to Wealthy bigpennies's topic in Melbourne Demons
No but he is considered the best. And if you trust his jedgement then you would wait for his opinion. Simples. -
There are 18 teams and 50 spots in the top 50. Your doing above average to get three in there.
