    OMAC??

    Nope
  2. Like Jesse Hogan?? No smiles?? Aaarggghh he's gone. Out the door..............
  3. Surprised by Weid, Brayshaw and Lever Jones and Harmes missing Hibberd a good year particularly given his personal circumstances No ANB, Hunt a McDonald, Jetta, Smith
  4. I think a lot here will be surprised with Viney but well done to him an outstanding year after many predicted he would throw the toys out of the pram And to Trac, May, Langdon and Oliver you are the future.
  5. To paraphrase Ricky Bobby we're the 8th loser.
  6. New players to clubs often do well as the heirarchy likes to congratulate themselves on their astute recruiting May and Langdon to do very well. Petraccas score involvements will rate highly as will his flexibility around the ground. Gawn, Oliver and Viney should also rate highly Salem late was good but wasn't consistent. Be very surprised if the top 5 came from outside this lot. I'll go Petracca May Langdon Gawn Oliver Viney
  7. There are zero excuses this year. Virtually a full list to choose from all year.
  8. Fritsch is a real talent but excrutiatingly frustrating with his kicking for goal. He appears to be so casual as if 'what the heck I'll just bang this up there' His tackling needs a lot of work as well. To me he never tackles with intent. Not everyone can be a Viney but even Spargo who is small, when he tackles shows real intent to stop the player.
  9. I guess the good news is rivers is still eligible next year... Unless we make finals this year
  10. For 3 qtrs essendon brought ZERO pressure. Presto they put daniher up the ground apply more pressure and we go to water Our game plan still sucks when we are put under pressure
  11. Told youse all
  12. Shame we took Oliver instead of parish
  13. Not 1 melb player in Goal line 4 bombers
  14. Will be interesting to hear the excuses flowing if we get beaten. The would losses to 3 bottom 6 sides in 4 games There will be nowhere to hide and heads should roll. But they won't because this club accepts mediocrity like a dying man in the desert accepts a sip of water Fully expecting us to fall 5 goals behind, rally into the last and win by 2pts meaning another 12 months at least of the most boring coach in the world. Yay Go Dees
  15. Package him with Oscar Please.
  16. May arguably yes. Trac no doubt Weideman. Nope Langdon? 2x top 5 B&F at Freo. Having a good year but arguably not 'improved' Hibberd has had much better years Don't think you're winning this debate.
  17. Analysis of the RS award I did a few years back shows that those awarded in the first 8 rounds have a significantly higher chance of winning. I recall that there were only 2 or 3 from later rounds. That's a joke. Everyone should be eligible that qualifies.
  18. 23 chances to get nominated in a regular year. MOst clubs have at least 2 good contenders each year so there is at least 13 that miss out. I disagree with your assertion that a potential winner is likely to have a standout game. FOr a start he could have it on the wrong week when someone does something freakish. When Rankine was nominated it woudn't have mattered who else had a good game. Rankine was always going to get it. GWS and GC have been 'favoured' in many cases as the AFL wants to give their fans some hope. That has reduced the number from other clubs that could be nominated. I say make it clearer what the award is for. If its for a star of the future as it originally was then that could be someone who has a 7/10 game every week but gets beaten every week by a standout game from another club. If its for a best 1st year player (which is what its morphed into) then reward consistency The weekly award is fine. The annual award as it stands is dumb.
  19. Its a dumb award the way it is currently If you are going to have a best 1st year player award then make it so with everyone elegible, not just those who win a weekly award. It has strayed away from its original purpose as is usual with many things AFL
  20. Easier to stomach because we got beaten by two teams in the bottom 5 in consecutive weeks? That makes me even angrier at this club.
  21. So she couldn't possibly know whats going on because you haven't heard anything about it even though you're not "plugged in to the main vein".. Have I got that right? Just wanted to check.
  22. He gets a bad rap on here. Geez those highlight reels look impressive. He's a keeper for mine.
  23. Sadly you are spot on. We have blown it Wouldn't surprise anyone if either scenario happend below: a) We get smashed by Essendon b) St Kilda loses and we wallop Essendon but fall 0.001% short This club only knows one way.
  24. He is a very good kick for goal
  25. So the reason he would want to come here is money and/or a longer contract? Nope.
