  1. Been watching it again today and cant believe what a faux tough guy and pest Libba is Every opportunity to slam a guy in the back while waiting for a ball up etc is so pathetic.
  2. He's not living forever I suspect...
  3. You need extra room for 22, 23, 24, 25 and 26
  4. I'm furious still about the soft frees Liberatore and McRae got in the middle. Viney gave two away that were nowhere near frees.
  5. Can the Mods please change the heading to the 2019 draft??
  6. Total disgrace that the Coach wasn't given his 5mins of glory
  7. According to the little paper the Dees have 3 inside the Top 7 Well done Jason Taylor and Tim Lamb Re-ranked top 10 1. Luke Jackson (3) 2. Caleb Serong (8) 3. Kozzy Pickett (12) 4. Noah Anderson (2) 5. Tom Green (10) 6. Mitch Georgiades (18) 7. Trent Rivers (32) 8. Cody Weightman (15) 9. Harry Schoenberg (24) 10. Matt Rowell (1)
  8. Was sorry to see Jay go. Thought he had some good potential. Was playing well before a knee injury from memory saw him omitted. He never got back ...
  9. Cyril kicked 40 goals twice in his career, That's it, in 11 seasons. Kozzie has done it once. Its a great achievement and he has the potential to be better than Cyril. Particularly if we can pinch a couple more flags. People forget that Kozzie was an elite junior talent but has had to learn how to play a defensive team orientated game. That he has done it in his second year is a massive credit to him and the club. Many talents like that often pfaff around for a few years getting by on outrageous talent but Kozzie has put in an amazing amount of hard work to get to this level. He lost his mother and spent some 6-7 weeks back in South Australia over the summer where plenty here worried about him coming back looking like Austin Wonaemirri after a few sessions on the turtles. But Kozzie was working hard every day, training his bum off with Norwood. That he came back in outstanding form is an amazing effort and shows a lot of mental strength. We have a beauty here. he may not have touched the ball a lot in the GF but if you look at his pressure and work rate it was off the charts.
  10. Frawley is welcome to his bonds with hawthorn. Premiership players are a dime a dozen over there. And Frawley can stay persona non grata at the Dees as far as I am concerned. At Melbourne, our players have created history that can never be erased. They will be remembered forever. Frawley? Pfft
  11. I heard one of the coaching staff say before the season started that they thought BB would be a bust as his knee was cooked. Glad he was wrong. BB is a terrific player that fits well with out style of play. Always dangerous. Smart. Very difficult to match up on. Keath gave away two frees for arm chopping against him in the GF His kicking is terrific and the 666 rule suits him perfectly for fast breaks from the middle. Hopefully Weideman learns fast from this bloke.
  12. She's so rude, I met her once and she never even called me after that
  13. If I was to predict I would say Sparrow has greater upside than Jordon. Not a knock but Jordon seems more workhorse while Sparrow has weapons.
  14. Huge fan of sparrow Tough, smart, kicks like a mule and runs all day. Had a great GF.. Was in everything.
  15. I forecast at the start of the year Hunt would be in the top 3 most improved players Boy we had a lot of improvers but Hunt was right up there, Cops a lot of knocks for trying to take the game on but he can play a lot of roles and has a big heart. Very tough as well Stiff to have missed out after playing 20 games but a hard call with Bowey playing so well and Hibberd finding form
  16. Nibbler has always been a very ernest player, He was plagued in his earlier years by fumbles and turnovers. He appears to have ironed out those deficiencies (largely) - perhaps he has become more comfortable with his role and spot in the side. Nonetheless he has turned into a key role player for us that covers more territory than anyone other than Langdon. He is super important for us in terms of the pressure he brings to bear and the consistent effort he brings across four quarters. His kicking for goal has gone to another level this year and his wet weather banana against Richmond was absolutely outstanding, He should be very proud of the footballer he has become.
  17. I thought in the 3rd qtr he was streaming out of defence and received a HBall but wasnt aware he was about to be tackled. He looked surprised but still managed to get a Hball away before following it up with another clearing possession.
  18. When a team hasn't experienced success in a long time there is always an element of self doubt about whether they are good enough or 'deserve' to be be in finals etc. Even in games when leading and the opposition expected Melbourne to fold on many occasions we obliged. Now this team know what they can produce is the best in the comp I am looking forward to this team going to another level. Not only walking onto the ground in each game with a new confidence but unleashing their new competitive spirit to see how good each player can be. There is nothing holding them back at all. The sky is the limit. And the fact we did this is such a team-oriented way with everyone playing their roles there will be a greater focus on doing more team things and urging fellow team mates to be the best they can be, Exciting times for these lads and for us a lifelong followers.
  19. People need to remember we had a charmed run with injuries this year. It's great we have depth because we can't expect the low injury numbers to go on ad infinitum. Tommo is a flexible player and can play multiple positions. Looking forward to his return
  20. Pretty sure that was Dunkley who you might recall Kozzie pole-axed in the first quarter a well
  21. We had the first opportunity I believe but couldn't come up with the $15m. Harsh to blame Eddie
  22. We'll get a decent crown anyway in rd 1. Might as well make it a celebrations and get off to a good start against a lowly team . Let's use a replay of the GF to draw a big crowd later when we're up and running and the crowds need a boost,
  23. AT did his knee on May 2. I always thought it was 10-11 months but sooner if things go well. He is back running so I imagine if it goes to plan he would be ready at worst end of March but hopefully round 1. Interesting dilemma with Petty playing well in defence as to where he is played.....
  24. Can we get back to discussing the greatest game in our history? I dont want us to look back on this thread in a couple of years and see pages of comments about ads for dating Asian women or shoes or whatever. That would plain embarrassing. Like discussing the quality of cheeseboards or something. For me I have been super impressed on my multiple watchings with Tom Sparrow. Love his attack on the footy, his positioning, his toughness and his kicking. We have an absolute beauty there.
