  1. A mate of mine battling ill health for a number of years now has also received a wonderful video message from Goodwin, Harmesy, Salem and oliver. Outstanding that the club has arranged this and a wonderful way to keep the players grounded and connected to their supporters. They understand how important these games are to people and particularly in covid times. I couldn't be prouder of our club
  2. Stop being a wally. If he has mail great - I am happy he's posted it. Thats why we have these forums. If he's trolling he'll be found out. As it turns out he's on the money. Very happy he didnt name the player, Its finals week and its not his position to do that,
  3. Geelong will try to create mismatches in their forward line to upset lever and may. Esava will go deep and run at the ball where he is best. Hawkins often plays high but will go back with Esava. Rohan will try to pick up lever and run off him. Cameron plqys high as well but is dangerous deep. Our boys are well drilled and how they manage the 'handover' is important. I think this part of theground will decide the game unless we get off a flyer. A 5 goal lead to us would see Geelong panic.
  4. There's no doubt they are trying to put the pressure on us after our last PF. All their talk is centred on it. They have played in 11 of the last 15 prelims but their finals record is really poor since Scott won the flag in his first year in 2011.. Make no mistake, if Geelong lose the monkey on their back will be massive. But it wont work. We're a well drilled unit and if you go back to all our big games this year we have been 'under the pump' in all of them. Rd 4 against Geelong Rd 6 Richmond on Anzac Eve Rd 11 The Dogs at Marvel Rd 12 & Final The lions Rd 17 Prt at Adelaide Rd 21 v West Coast at Optus Rd 23 v Geelong at Kardinia Our system gives the team belief. We have been building our 'big game' form and are relaxed and rested with a full list. The pressure is all on geelong that is 1-4 in the last 5 prelims. Scott is trying to avert that pressure on to us. It won't work
  5. We do have a rivalry with them. Lots of close games
  6. Pretty obvious that he provides a big body to train against. Plus if we do have to break the glass he'll be ready
  7. While its possible I reckon Sparrow would be crazy. He's had a breakout game in a final and will likely be a regular 22 next year for us. The seem to love him at the Dees. Against struggling a the crows for the next 2-3 years? Yuk
  8. You might be on to something..
  9. Geelong know one way to play. Ball control and possession. Take that away from them and they struggle. When they got a hold of us out of the middle in the 2nd qtr of Round 23 we were able to change our positioning at centre bounces to stop them coming 'out the front'. Mentally they will be cooked from that game. Mental scars everywhere. The pressure is all on them. We are well aware of what a fast start can do in a Prelim so will be fired up to hit them early and hard. Dees by 55pts
  10. No he's not. Because its so obvious what he is trying to do. People laugh at him. He's maybe a master of trying to spin!!
  11. Hawkins Rohan and Cameron averaged 2.3 goals per game between them Fritsch McD and BB average 1.9 goals per game. So their (tall) "forward line to die for" managed to score 0.4 goals per game more than Melbourne. I don't see 2.4 points a game as much of a difference
  12. Tim Costello has called for an inquiry into the Lions v West coast game. Where 41 seconds were added to the game and where the Lions made the Top 4 and pushed the Bulldogs into 5th. The suggestion that gambling may have played a role and that the AFL needs to ensure integrity of the game if they are to accept money from bookmakers and gambling companies. Its the 5th time there has been a 'timekeeping error' but none as significant. The AFL as expected has remained silent - lest it hurts its own commercial interests. It would be a foolish person to say that games could not be affected by gambling interests or that umpires are beyond the reach of organised crime syndicates.
  13. Bulldogs last 12 finals they've won the free kick count. Law of averages has failed
  14. The closest I can recall is when the Crows entered the comp and screams of "crow throw" resonated around the comp. It seemed to explode after that but to my reckoning there was no official rule change?
  15. When did the definition of handball change? Closed fist hitting the ball from a stationary palm
  16. Yes I am confident.
  17. Once more for good measure: Vaccines do not stop you getting or spreading the virus. They minimise harm to the individual.
  18. I'm kinda staggered that someone would read through all of his tripe to compile that list. Theres an hour or so of your life that you aren't going to get back
  19. It seems pretty clear that he is still struggling with back issues. His turning circle and flexibility looked poor. I think the 2 week rest will be a godsend for Tom and the Dees
  20. I don't think thats correct. Has been injured a lot through those 2 yrs.
  21. The Swans were underwhelmed by All Australian Alir Alir...just sayin....
  22. Maynard doesn't excite me. Has quite a few brain fades. I do like his attack on the ball though, He is manic. He's not what we need. We need to add outside run and delivery skills. Someone like Bowie only taller! Laurie could be that person but is only 181cm. Maybe a Lukosias type. You can't have enough class and where we sit we don't want to be adding second rate players. We also need a back up ruckman. And eventually a replacement for McDonald. I am also looking forward to the day that players are clamouring to get to the Dees because they want to play in finals..
  23. Particularly after finally finishing in the top 5 at the B&F, lamenting how it took him so long to get there and then promising to work harder. He just didn't want it. Its not a crime just a waste.
  24. I think he lost weight!
