  1. Yeah, one or two cancer cells aren't bad are they? They won't spread through the whole body?? You are kidding yourself Pink Freud if you think Pergola will be anything but disruptive and divisive influence. You have clearly never been involved in a successful team at any level. If you had you would realise how dangerous these people are. Let me spell it out for you: C-U-L-T-U-R-E.
  2. Why would you say that? Highly unlikely IMO Do you have any reason to say that or are you making it up??
  3. How dare you have an actual footy discussion on this site Not bad match ups though Rivers to Hale won't work with the height. I'd say Martin. Bail or Jones to follow Mitchell. Bennell to Bateman Not sure about Burgoyne Then we have Hodge (if he plays), Lewis and Sewell I hate Hawthorn. I hope we can shut up a few of their supporters this week. Go Dees
  4. No one. And it'll be the first time Bruce hits a Melb player on the [censored] in his career Ha ah ah ah a
  5. Poor Trengove had to chase down Jetta and then a bit later Gary Rohan. For a bloke that was a late inclusion because of a sore ankle he did remarkably well.
  6. Malcolm Gladwell is a terrific writer. I have read a lot of his stuff. This story is chilling. Definitely worth reading. You can't help but think of Joel Selwood when you read this. And Lenny Hayes.
  7. Very sorry to hear that from Daniel Bell. I liked him as a player for his intensity. INteresting though reading the article: "Bell estimates that he was concussed 15 times before he was drafted by Melbourne in 2002, and that only half of those bouts were through playing football. He wore a helmet as a teenage footballer but discarded it by the time he was 14. Bell estimates he was diagnosed with concussion between eight and 10 times during his time at Melbourne but the two concussions he experienced in 2009 and 2010 were the most damaging." The awareness he lacked as a senior player was evident in his younger years. What do clubs do? Do you not recruit players who have a propensity to get hit like a Joel Selwood??
  8. Which if these gems did you want me to read?? "I've got a feeling he's a one trick pony." "No I haven't seen him play." "I think Tapscott will be exposed at AFL level." "And yes Viney is a little suss on his left and I haven't even seen him!" You're a regular Nostradamus.
  9. Gee I could have sworn Jamar missed a sitter from 20m......

    The Draw

Sydney were 1 kick from a prelim last year.
  11. How would you know what they are? All you have pointed out is his 'body shape' is not the current 'ideal' whatever that is.
  12. You can't be serious. Bartram is our small fast tough back pocket. Who else do you think will take Rioli?
  13. I read somewhere it'll be the first time Bruce hits a Melb player on the [censored]. ROFL
  14. Big difference between the ball in your fwd line or defensive line. The Umps are hotter on the defensive guys hence the propensity to dish it off quicker. The fwds are told to hold it in if they can.
  15. Engrave the trophy now with David Swallow. No point in going through the whole season with this charade. Then again NikNat was a shoo-in.
  16. Welcome Gotzy I like your first post!
  17. Goes to Dyson Heppel of Essendon. Bad luck for Tappy. Line Ball based on stats.
  18. Yeah, same call with Goddard and Reiwoldt. Nah nah nah...
  19. Ed Curnow Carlton?? 24 disposals 5 marks 1 goal 7 tackles...
  20. McBurnie was a disgrace all day and will be in the dewkickers next week.
  21. Awfully quiet from the Roost It?? I heard a pin drop...
  22. Excellent game. The criticism in the past from me was that he didn't do enough damage to opp'n teams, the quick kick out of the centre was often ill directed and he often got caught trying to break tackles. Yesterday he was outstanding with 22 contested possessions, some fabulous clearance work and a great goal. He and Petterd turned the game for us. Great work. I hope it's what we can expect for the rest of the year.
  23. 6 Moloney 5 Trengove 4 Tapscott 3 Jamar 2 Bennell 1 Martin
  24. Lots of smart tap ons, shepherds and blocks today. Thought he did his bit without being outstanding. Took a good contested mark. Sometimes thinks too much. I wish he would play a bit more ion instinct.
