  1. I think Langdon deserved getting a nomination sooner rather than later. Has played several good games. JKH will get his chance soon enough.
  2. What's next? We start blaming the grass if someone pulls hamstring? Surely the turf must be sent straight to the tribunal.
  3. If that's the way of it now, why didn't the Doggies player get cited for giving Judd the extra push, causing him to do his hamstring? AFL has become a joke. Surely that should be seen as rough conduct (jokes)
  4. If Viney goes for that, it just shows how overly protective the game is trying to become. It is a shadow of its former self, and not for the better.
  5. Yep. Roosy has been able to work his magic so far. Big credit to Pederson too, as he has turned it right around and has gone from an occasional to a definite starter.
  6. I'm by no means a Neeld supporter, he took us backwards a long way, and took Trengove even further still. But with how things played out, most of which were out of his control, he would have had to have had the worst initiation and 1.5 year period of any coach in AFL history. Sure, he had many failings as a coach, but he never got a lucky bounce to help him out.
  7. he's a bit too inconsistent for my liking. Not only that, but his better games are usually against us. If he is able to bridge the gap between his best and worst performances, he'd be a handy pick-up and the tandem duo of him and JKH as our small forwards could be quite lethal. He's a WA kid also, so the only realistic move would probably be back west.
  8. The chance of Freo or WC finishing below us next year is very miniscule. So we should tell him that we will just re-draft him. He isn't a free-agent, so doesn't have anywhere near as much control over where he goes.
  9. Funny how the members get told nothing about Hogan, and find out through alternate means in the media. This footy club still has along way to go in terms of doing the right thing by it's members. Not surprised really that nothing has been mentioned on the melbournefc.com.au website (the last place to look if you want to know all things MFC). Looking at it from another angle, surely putting a long-term contract in front of Jesse would show huge support from the MFC, as well as a big vote of confidence, given that he is yet to play a game for us. Hell even get in touch with Mitch to see if he wants to continue to be his mentor. Big risk in doing so, but Jesse is so young, if he commits long-term to the club, he will have heaps of time on his side to get it right.
  10. Parker from the Swans and Patton from GWS would suit me fine.
  11. Barely involve himself? He's one of the main culprits of why we find ourselves where we are. He was very much one of the boys club who along with Schwab and Connolly, took advantage of the absence of a very ill Jim Stynes. Not only did he tell Jim not to sack Schwab along with Bailey, but he was on the selection board that appointed Neeld as our coach. He's been greatly involved, too bad everything he was involved in turned to sh!t. Wouldn't let him anywhere near the workings of our club for a very long time.
  12. Dunn should be our sole kicker-iner. What about our last goal. He decides to thump the [censored] out it well outside the 50, then we thump it in quickly to our forward line, where low and behold, because of the quick transition, an inside 50 mark and subsequent goal. It took us all game to figure it out? FFS
  13. Totally agree with your Spencer call. Jamar is basically retired and Gawn is too busy talking in to a microphone.
  14. Ablett - Can't touch him
  15. Oh, i'm not basing it off one game. He constantly makes poor decisions and his disposal hasn't improved since arriving at the club. Sure he can run and is tall, but he virtually has zero football nous. But he's not the only one, Spencer is not one of my favourites either, plus there are quite a few who are clearly just making up the numbers. There's a very good reason why we find ourselves where we are on the ladder,
  16. The Ablett free kick was an absolute farce. But what was just as bad was that goal-line decision for the Suns. The replay with the top left screen clearly showed the ball took a massive deflection once passing the Suns fists. I'm also not a fan this year of pinging a bloke when there are about 4 blokes all trying to get the ball, with the umpire saying you've gotta try to get it out. How about they try and get it out with another 4 guys after the ball. It looks like they are starting to reward the tackler again, after most of this year, they wave their arms in the air like muppets. About time incorrect disposal was brought back in to the game.
  17. He was absolutely woeful today. Totally disinterested and lazy. Banish him to Casey for a month. Roosy needs to make it known that he will not accept any passengers, which one JW is a massive culprit of.
  18. You can add Tom McDonald to that group too. His disposal is shocking, and his decision making is even worse.
  19. Honestly, i'd rather A win tomorrow..................today, whatever. Go Dees!!!!
  20. Aside from Chip, we have no hulking KPD to tackle the big forwards, plus it will take a good 3-4 years for that player to be trained up and ready to take over from Chip. Our rucks are pretty thin. Spencer is basically the only one able to get on the park, Gawn is too busy talking in to a microphone and seems to be perpetually injured, whilst Jamar is almost a pensioner. Given that Clark has also retired, we are another KPF short. Again, they will need to take a couple of years to be physically ready to play the game on a consistent basis. As for our mids, well we need many more good one's coming in, but they are generally quicker to mature and the good ones are a dime a dozen compared to drafting quality talls. I'd try and bring in quality talls this draft, sign Chip so as to not be in a situation where we would want to maximise compensation, and try and bring in a quality mid via FA.
  21. Unfortunately, this bloke looks like Tarzan but plays like Jane. His best game for the club was his first, when he just about broke Rhyce Shaw in 2. He's not even on the chopping bloke imo. He's already been place in the discard group come years end. An absolute BP special, just look at some of the player's that were available between Tapscott and our next pick in Gawn.
  22. I've been a massive Spencer critic for quite a while now, but he played very well yesterday. Was aggressive and whilst beaten in the ruck, he provided a great deal more around the ground for us than he has done in the past. I wouldn't tempt fate by giving him a rest after he has played his best game for the club. Particularly not for the likes of Jamar. If it were Cox, then maybe i'd think about it, but not Jamar.
  23. We lack quality and depth in the ruck and Russian ain't getting any younger. We also now lack depth in the forward line for talls. I'd say that Wright could be a very good target for us, but that's a matter for later on in the year.
  24. Seriously, this is the least of our problems at the moment, and should be treated as such.
  25. Seriously, thinking about this stuff is folly. We (as supporters), have no control over the giving out of PP's or CP's. Here's a thought......................just look to next week, then the week after that. Trade and draft time will inevitably come around, and there will no doubt be tonnes of talk about the whole thing then, but not in April, c'mon!
