This. It is the coaches not recognising the situation of the game, and acting accordingly. Apart from the first game of the season, i believe the coaching group has been rather underwhelming.

Totally agree. He's is mobile and a great user/thinker, but we need another option up forward. Even if Smith didn't get injured, he isn't the answer. We have Garlett and Hogan up forward, but when either one of them doesn't fire, we have too few to kick the necessary amount of goals to win. Pedo comes in for Spencer, so who comes in for Smith? Our depth is getting seriously tested, and it doesn't help when half the midfield decides to put in a poor performance either.

Why do we always have more that go up than stay down? I see it time and time again. Too many go up and don't win the ball, or at least kill the contest, then their numbers get the ball out the back. It's just stupid football. Our player's are as dumb as batsh!t and our coaches are even worse for not realising this and corrected for it.

Next week is our season, a little earlier than last year.

Always excuses. How about just gritting the teeth and getting on with the job. 38 points to 2 says it all. We still have no idea how to tough it out.

Our reliance on Gawn and our very think ruck support has been obvious for a few years now, yet we have done nothing about bringing in another who is capable of playing the role.

This, 2 men down or not, is simply inexcusable. Maybe Goody needs to look at how his structures are going? Questions need to be raised with the FD. It isn't just one guy who selects the team.

Well if Pedo doesn't come in next week, he may as well retire. Surely he comes in next week. No he's no #1 ruckman, but he provides good back-up (will have to take the # mantle for a bit though) and provides more up forward too.

I don't like how we continually title headings based on negative outcomes. Instead of 'if we lose to ........ i will', why can't it be 'if we win against ......... i will not' In that spirit, if we win against the Tigers, i will not have this feeling of lingering negativity for a whole week!

Yep, agree. All they care about is maximising their revenue. If they cared at all about the integrity of the game, then they wouldn't continually make changes and adjustments to the rules. But no, they want to keep it attractive, to maximise attendances and viewership, to justify demanding such high sponsorship dollars.

Yep, Hibberd in for Melksham. An easy choice. Almost as easy a choice as Pedersen for Weideman, Vince to the wing, replacing our goal kicking coach.

Agree, getting quality into the backline asap will only help. Having Hogan return will straighten us up, but he needs to be prepared to put up with the [censored] that will come his way from the opposition.

I'd prefer to see him hand it back, than be stripped of it.

If our coaches have any idea on how to motivate the player's, i'd throw the game review out the window and just make them watch the third quarter at the start and end of every training session this week.

That will just make matters worse. Wait until the end of the year.
