Funny how since the players have been trusted more for their own fitness regimens over the summer, we can barely run out 3 quarters. This new ‘love’ program needs to be torn up, players have gotten way too complacent. Time for the tough love approach, who cares if we put noses out of joint as something drastic needs to be done.

As much as I think Goodwin needs to go, it is much too early in the season to be sacking a coach. Though I think 2025 should be his last (unless he gets us to a prelim 🤪). I think the playing group, in particular the leadership group, need to have a good look at themselves. Not even the greatest of coaches would be able to fix some of the decision making and skills that have been displayed the last 6 quarters. That’s squarely on the playing group. The lack of talk out on the field and willingness to 2-way run is all about effort and completely between the ears. Selection statements need to be made. Give senior games to those that put in and give their all. When all is said and done, more is said than done.

I don’t think he knows how to develop a ‘rebuilding’ team. He was given a well developed list after Roos did all the heavy lifting in the 3 years prior. Goodwin inherited virtually a pregerminated list, where the roots had already be established, he just had to stick them in the ground.

@Demon Dynasty I think Goodwin would be more suited to the role of GM instead of Richardson. But I doubt he’d want to stick around as GM after being removed as coach, and I don’t think any prospective coach would want him hanging around either. But Richo should also be on the chopping block.

If we have another poor year on field, I suspect that supporter attention will turn to off field progress (or lack there of). Frustration for poor team performance will also exacerbate current annoyance for the lack of meaningful info given by the club and heat will be turned up to 11.

Beggars can’t be choosers. Many supporters every year don’t get to attend the GF. I got to watch it on TV with my Dad, next best thing to being there.
