@rpfc To be fair to @Oxdee, sharing facilities with numerous others is far from ideal, otherwise everyone else would be doing it. Our current facilities whilst adequate, no doubt would be at the bottom in terms of quality amongst other clubs, that ain’t going to attract players to the club. Nor will it see the club thrive, merely hanging around. Theres no point waiting for the ‘perfect’ or ‘best’ opportunity, as it may not present itself for years, if at all. I’d prefer the club have the fortitude to pounce on this opportunity, rather than fail to act due to fear of something ‘better’ being forthcoming in the future.

I don’t think we’d get in the way of Mount Scopus all that much. Apart from the one building that will be our training base and outside their land, the ovals inside the racecourse would provide them with fantastic ovals to utilise when not in use by us (they’ll also have their own private oval within their land.

Agree that Sparrow offers nothing more than a bigger contested body. He has no weapons to utilise.

I’d prefer us to be good in all aspects of the game, than great in some and average in others, as it’s the weakest part of the game that breaks down first.

Our former zone and heartland is around the Caulfield/Glen Iris/Bentleigh area. Throw in that Waverley is now seriously outdated with only the 1 oval, we’d be limiting ourselves the moment we moved in. Would rather stay at Gosch’s than move there. Caulfield or nothing
