  1. Spot on. They don't. As I said in one of the other threads, it's a credit to the club for keeping a lid on this.
  2. I'm a regular there. Haven't seen a single post advocating a Carlton win.
  3. I'm pretty confident that Denham doesn't have a source, so he's repeating what he hears in the grapevine. The fact that we can't get any information at all that is not completely contradictory to everything else around is a credit to the club's ability to keep private matters private.

    2007 Draft

It's pretty hard to rate a team that is about to finish bottom 4 for the fourth year in a row.
  5. No, we can't mention it here. If you're clever you can find it though. Happy hunting.
  6. Whoever's job it is to make sure they are applying pressure and winning clearences (is any of it their own responsibility?) It may well have something to do with Williams but it also might not. You don't know without spending any time in the coaches box. It annoys me when people want to sack everybody in sight when in reality, we've got no idea who is responsible for what.
  7. How many other clubs wave off the players who are about to be delisted? How about we hold a ticker tape parade for Luke Williams, Scott Chisholm and Donald Cockatoo-Collins while we're there.
  8. The only one of those players who has genuinely earned a "farewell" is Brown IMO.

With Richmond's win over the Bummers yesterday, the race for the spoon is on. We're even with Carlton on points, Richmond are 2 points behind. They play a beatable St. Kilda outfit next weekend, we obviously play the boos. These are the possible outcomes: Richmond d St. Kilda Melbourne d Carlton Final ladder: Melbourne Richmond Carlton This is the least favourable outcome because it means we lose our second round PP, and Carlton get pick 1 and 2. They win a hattrick of spoons, that has to be a first for a while. Richmond d St. Kilda Carlton d Melbourne Final ladder: Carlton Richmond Melbourne In this scenario we get the #1 pick as well as a PP. I can't really stomach another spoon though. If Richmond lose, they get the spoon. My favourite outcome is this though: Richmond d St. Kilda Melbourne draw Carlton Final ladder: Richmond Melbourne Carlton We'd lose our PP, sure. However, Carlton would lose their PP _and_ win the wooden spoon. I'd be in heaven. :D
  11. See this thread: http://demonland.nozzs.org/forum/index.php?showtopic=7211
  12. The common concensus by those who have seen a lot of him play is that while he looks like a spaz when he kicks, it's pretty effective. He doesn't tend to miss anywhere near as many targets as some of our worst ball users. One of the club recruiters also said that he was a much better kick than Darren Glass was at the same stage of development.
  13. Giving him three years would be Bizzell/Yze all over again. I like Robbo and personally would prefer it if he stayed, however there's only a very select few players I would give three year contracts to and he is not one of them.
  14. How do you know it's Paul's fault? Do you know something we don't?
  15. Carlton didn't tank. They're just crap.
  16. Today will be the second match of the year I'll miss completely (daughter's 1st birthday!). The other match was the other Freo game.
  17. And then do what with it? His biggest problem as a CHF has been using it when he gets it, not getting it in the first place.
  18. I don't give a rat's clacker what opposition supporters think. They're not the people who drive trades. Football departments (ours and oppositions) will know more or less everything there is worth knowing about Miller. Opposition supporters know less than we do about our own players in general, because of the sheer number of times we've seen him play compared to how many times they have. While I don't really disagree with what you're saying, the conclusion that he must have trade value because opposition supporters say so is weak at best.
  19. If a player has a history of not being mentally up to scratch then IMO it makes sense to leave it until the last possible minute to play him.
  20. All the people who were burning MFC flags at his non selection: Vindicates the position of many around here IMO.
  21. Don't see how that saves costs, I believe when we had Sam Newman in he was doing it on a voluntary basis. More likely we couldn't find anyone qualified who was interested.
  22. Yep, the third quarter was a beauty around us. I was in row F I think. Sounds like we were right near each other. Funny.
  23. I don't quite get how people can say whether or not they were happy with the process depends on the outcome. The outcome and the process are two completely seperate issues IMO.
  24. Disagree, I think it makes more sense. Using this system players like J.Brown and Judd are the types that rank the highest, where as in the dreamteam system it's the West, Scotland, Joel Bowden types that rate the highest. I know which group of people I rate higher.
  25. Captain : Brad Green Vice captain: This position is dead, but the leadership group will contain, McDonald, Bruce, McLean Coach: Kevin Sheedy Delisted players: Bizzell, Ward, C.Johnson, Neville, Pickett, Ferguson, Warnock Retired players: Brown First draft pick: No idea Trade: MFC non participants Football manager: Chris Connolly 07 Bluey: James McDonald
