  1. What if Frawley turns out to be yet another stinker? Petterd is less of a risky investment. He's a lot more likely to make it than Frawley.
  2. Jerry and Kit both posted this at the same time, have merged the threads...

    Until they start being deleted.
  4. There's a whole bunch of stuff that has been written specially, but none of it is live at the moment (pending a few things). It all leverages the forum platform though. It would take far too much time to develop it all from scratch IMO. I reckon Tim is mad.
  5. If Tim_'s upset by the behavior of its moderators he can just give them the flick. He wouldn't just "give up" on the site that he has put a lot of time and energy in to building. Maybe he is doing one of those things that some very strange people do on their weekends like spending time with his family.

Leave your sniping at Demonology please D2.
  7. I agree with that. Frawley's more likely to agree to it if it's the Saints. Not only is it still in Melbourne so he doesn't have to move away from his friends, family and life, but there's the family connection.
  8. Talk in tongues why don't you guys.
  9. No, don't know anything out of the ordinary, but it's not that common for midfielders to be plucked out of the VFL. The odds are stacked against him. That said though, at the rate we're going we're going to have 8+ vacancies on our list and no picks before the 50s. We might not have any choice but to draft one or two "senior" players like Valenti.
  10. It's database error, got nothing to do with the rewrite. I'd say the only reason it hasn't been fixed it is because Tim_ is busy and hasn't noticed that it's broken yet. It's a simple error to fix when it happens. It's just a matter of somebody who can fix it noticing it.
  11. Johnson was just as deserving. Could've raffled it really. Geelong were as awesome as Port were pathetic.
  12. Anything's possible. I'm fairly confident Valenti won't be drafted though.

To be fair, Judd isn't wasting anyone's time as his mouth has been completely closed the whole time. It's the liars in the media and on footy forums who are wasting everyone's time.
  14. There's a reason why Demonology and Demonland call each other "sister sites". As far as I'm concerned there's no need to have a crack at the 'ology members who are here while the site is (again ) down. Further posts needlessly attacking other members will be deleted.
  15. 43 members have joined since the "JUDDMania" forum was created. The entire Judd saga started a few days before that so it would probably be in excess of 50.
  16. If the player agrees to it, then it can be done. In Frawley's case, he might agree to go to the Saints, but not WCE.
  17. If we can do the deal somehow without losing Frawley I'd be happier, but would do that deal.
  18. He definitely isn't.
  19. Demonology has already cracked under the pressure. Several times.
  20. I found that funnier than I should've.
  21. I can't see why he would choose Carlton. Beyond Pratt's money, I can't see what they've got to offer that will appeal to him. Carlton kind of remind me of the spoilt, fat, dumb rich kid in a school class. Doesn't learn anything, bullies everyone, spends his entire time at home playing playstation games all day and acts like a total ass, but gets by in life because Daddy has lots of money. Their solution to every and any problem is to just toss money at it. It makes me sick.
  22. That's a defeatist attitude IMO. If you psyche yourself up and it turns out the rumours are true, then it feels that much sweeter. It's worth the risk of disappointment. I believe at this stage we're more of a chance than we were at the beginning. I'm still hopeful. Fingers crossed.
  23. Take your phone in, and gimme your #. I'll SMS you.
  24. Me too. The "principle" of him choosing us over Carlton's money and Collingwood's general all-round appeal for players would be a massive, massive win for us. I'm finding it hard not to get excited now, but the grounding fact is none of this is any more credible than the other carp that has him at Collingwood. I wish he'd announce it already and put as all out of our misery.
  25. I didn't vote for them because they're the posters I agree with. I voted for them because I believe they're the most persuasive. The people I would vote for in something like this are the people who can convince of an argument either way. You might notice that I'm not a poster who gets right in to the nitty-gritty of an argument often. That's because 9 times in 10 when I open a thread, it's on a topic I haven't formed a solid opinion on yet. My favourite threads are the ones where the likes of H and Fan come head to head. My very favourite threads are the ones where I change my opinion on the matter at hand after reading each individual post. These guys do that for me. Regularly. (btw I could easily have included H in my votes as he is by far and away the best debater on this forum and he sucks me right in, but at times I find his over-aggression distasteful) Rhino gets my vote because he uses his brain when everyone else is hysterical, particularly in a bad season. I don't always agree with what he says, and have come to a head with him a few times, but I appreciate the fact that he doesn't go off half cocked.
