Demons on Masterchef (16/5/18)
The first promo shot with the AHG top was filmed last year, at the Masterchef lunch all the players had iSelect tops and it was filmed earlier this year.

Demons on Masterchef (16/5/18)
I thought when I saw this thread that the one person who would object to it was you. You never have a single positive thing to say about the club. Do you have any idea what an hour's prime time exposure on one of Australia's most popular television shows is worth? My son's restaurant has Masterchef film there every second year. They did it again earlier in the year. They will literally get thousands of calls in the week after it is aired.

Robbo crowns North's Cunnington the best handballer in the comp, Oliver anyone!
Some of you need to take off the Oliver-coloured glasses and admit that Cunnington is also very, very good.

Is Brayshaw more rounded than the Trac?
All I know is that at the moment, I wouldn't want Petracca to be kicking for goal after the siren to win a grand final. It would only be marginally less nerve-wracking than Max.

Olivinaccashaw! By then Dangerwoodlett will be long gone.

The Jesse Incident
Barrett, Lloyd and Bartel need to apologise. In their Access All Areas video on afl.com.au, they openly stated that Hogan would be "ashamed of his overreaction" and would "cop an automatic fine for staging". They just openly maligned Hogan's reputation. No mention of, or look at, the goal-post video, and just an assumption based on the only (limited) footage available at the time.

Changes vs Gold Coast
You don't waste a player like Viney in the twos.

Changes vs Gold Coast
Really? I think we're much better with the three of them rather than Garlett. More pressure further up the ground and closer to goal, better marking options. Melksham is a great field kick.

Sloane, Gaff, Lynch and/or 2MtrPeter
And I guess Max will be useless to us if the AFL goes bankrupt. The comparison is ridiculous.

"Bromance" rubbish. You don't trade out a 208cm All-Australian ruckman you have spent eight years developing, especially when they have reached the 26-year-old and 80-100 game milestone and are getting multiple BOGs. This is not some trading game like a packet of AFL cards.

Best you get another financial advisor, one that will tell you the perils of disposing of a valuable asset. Maxy is paying great dividends and is a definite "hold".

Max Gawn not in Top 8 Ruckmen according to The Age
The article on the Age website has been amended to say ... "By my reckoning, there are currently nine A-grade ruckmen in the competition – Paddy Ryder (reigning All-Australian), Brodie Grundy (coming quickly), Nic Naitanui, Stefan Martin, Aaron Sandilands, Sam Jacobs, Matthew Kreuzer, Max Gawn and Ben McEvoy. Training week commencing 9 April
I think it was extra Bomb It Long training.

Bomb it long!
Thoroughly agree with this. And many times it's not possible to do anything BUT "bomb it long". Where there's no leads forthcoming, or crowding inside the arc, it still gets an inside 50 with about a 40-50% chance to score. And a chance to lock it in. NOT "bombing it long" can lead to a tackle or a turn-over further up the ground through pressure or hesitation on the ball carrier getting caught looking for options. And a shorter distance back to the opposition goal. I put the mantra of "don't bomb it long" in the same category as "just kick it". Both meaningless without qualification.

Gaming - we are out!
Either is smoking. Would we like the club to sell cigarettes to make some money?

Sometimes you just have to make the right moral decision rather than a purely practical one.

2015 the hottest year on record
An increase of a minute fraction of one hundredth of a per cent in CFCs increased the ozone hole over Antarctica. It only takes 2-3 parts per million of chlorine to disinfect a swimming pool. Some toxic substances at .001 per cent will kill you. Arguments about "small percentages" are spurious. ProDee, when 80% of Australians believe more needs to be done about climate change, the world's largest mining company (BHP) is threatening to leaving the Mineral Council because of lack of climate change policy, and other large companies like Wesfarmers are getting out of coal to avoid future stranded assets, do you feel like you're winning anything? Are the captains of industry deluded? I would imagine they're fairly clever. What are you doing spending all your time here gish galloping in a pointless forum seen by a handful of people? Shouldn't you be out proselytising to the world with your apparent "truth" that wil save the world wasting vast sums of money?

2018 Membership Thread
Given that my children follow Melbourne, my grandchildren follow Melbourne, and I converted my wife from an Essendon supporter, I can claim a few credits.
