  1. I like the move of Harmes into vdb’s role and Frittata to the wing. I think that covers these off and allows other decisions. With Stef Martin out, that changes their balance. Big O has done ok, but Max should chew him a new one.
  2. We haven’t seen them for a reason. Injured, developing, depth or others in front of them. With so many injuries last year, more got a look in when perhaps they were not ready. Now we are in a good spot, these guys need to prove they deserve a spot. also, on drafting guys who don’t get a game elsewhere, why the fascination with other’s junk? If Petty and Neiter get back, it will be like a draft scoop anyway.

No comparison, just my comment on the game...

Weightman - 0 posies into the third. Runs around packs like a seagull looking for a chip.
  6. Happy to play the bummer holes later. If we played them in round 2, we were still stinking it up. At least we are seeing some good footy being produced by the Dees. Play like last weekend and we will wipe them off the map. So we lose a bye week, but face a team when we are stronger / they are potentially found out. Would take that any day of the week.

Hawks should have had Frost before Sicily. Clarko favourite. Sam had a really good game for them I thought. If any of those muppets got a vote, it should have been Frosty.
  8. Freo may move back based on being in points debt from last year. They may go from 4 to 6, for example. Won’t worry us unless we trade back in (which I doubt). Hard to know how it plays out if lists are savaged, do we still have to take 3?
  9. Yep, he got done, too $1000
  10. Jaeger o’smearer in the first quarter. I bet if we asked, the hawks fans would chip in to a go fund me to him him again.
  11. His eye says ‘not again’.....
  12. Lockhart (?) -some valuable interventions
  13. We gotta beat these muppets. they over stack the space behind the ball if you give them time- often 5 additional players in their d50. We gotta go fast when we get a turnover and look for space. Wings will be critical to hold width. hawks will look to possess with lots of uncontested marks. Gotta make everything a contest and hard two way running. need great delivery to fast moving forwards. Hawks backline can’t compete on pace, only height. Gotta have good leads and strong follow up at the contest. i think we will win by 26 points.
  14. With BT, only one player has a first name “Orazio Fantasia!” Everyone else is a surname or a nickname “The Bont!” Just call the game you bag of [censored].
  15. 6 tackles and 3 score involvements vs 0 tackles and running around packs waiting for a lolly? Kozzie>>>>weightman. That haircut could only get a run in the Western suburbs
  16. I think they cant cover our medium forwards. Just got to hit up leading targets, not just bomb it in.
  17. English is the [censored] target of Bruce Mc so far...
  18. Hawks put so many behind the ball it is ridiculous. I saw footage of an oppo entry a few weeks ago and there were 6 deep dorks just choking things up. Fast ball movement has to be key.

I would like to see him on the wing. Good athlete, can take a mark and reasonable by foot.

Hardwit was putting an extra at the contest, and the swans didn’t match it. Longmire says the only played 6 Back all night. Think you may be on to something....

    Syd v Rich.....garbage
  22. True, i was implying the wing roles. Sorry for any confusion
  23. On the AFL app. Click on matches, select ‘watch replay’.
  24. I really liked the way Langdon kept his width and provided a channel/option all night. Early of, GC had no answer, and it looked like Ellis moved into a fairly hard tag to shut this down. This width is critical to our style. If we get too bunched, we play phone box footy and do those dinky heartbreaker handballs. When we have players that hold width it changes our look. It also adds a defensive pressure to stop oppo players just taking that space. So this is what Langdon and Tommo were hired for, and last night (and the WC game) they did their roles really well. If Langdon and Tommo get lots of uncontested possessions, then that is a Win for us. On a different topic, The kick outs were static. Look for MAX every time. But I suppose he won or halved almost every contest, and we were winning clearances, so the numbers stacked up for this approach. My only concern is that this becomes the norm, rather than looking to shake things up. Otherwise Max will have 5 on him every kick out.
  25. We are easy targets. If you hate on the Dees, most of the time you are right, and it fits the narrative. Huddo is a pin headed dweeb who wants to be the next Bruce. Rankine case in point. Jono Brown missed the eye poke (that was late) so his initial response was not unreasonable. Start winning consistently and winning well and these worms will turn
