In the end this is whats its al labout and really, why shouldnt any club be able to maximise the exposure of whomever it chooses to the rigours of AFL footy in any fashio it sees fit. This is about winning premierships...not necessarily individual games . No one really cared til the bookies started screaming !!

The sad reality for Aaron is hes gone from the Hunter, to the Hunted !!. No one can be in our side purely on the speculation that some idea of a half baked/decent cameo might come to something. Ive really liked Davey over most of the journey though last year was something to forget. fat lady's warming up !!

Im somewhat curious about ol' chippers form. Seems to me to be off the boil somewhat and playing a rung or two below his better games. . Not to long ago he was A-A.. Ans now he seems struggling to replicate any semblance of that form. Is he carrying a niggle ? is it just me that thinks hes lost his shine ? We all can have our ups and downs , no doubt, but it just seems from where im sitting hes in a bit of a funk. New Coach, New structures etc I know can all play a part but Defensive work is I would have thought more often dictated to you by the oponents your minding and the way THEY organise their offence. Hes not alone but hes one that sort of acts as a barometer for the team.

The solace and to a degree semblance of conmfort I sit from all of this is that if one looks back to where the likes of the Cats, The Hawks, Pies were when they started on their respective journeys to Premierships ( in recent times ) they were absolute rubbish. They were deplorable, all but laughable ....and then eventually they turned...turned into decent teams. I can only hope this is our journey also...and a similar start.

I really cant see how much can change wholesale from week to week. Something as perillous as the Titaninc takes time to turn. For all intents and purposes this season is gone from the perspective of thinking we will play much constructive and competitive football, at least in teh first half of the year, let alone finals . Strike a line through 2012, its wrtitten off , already. Where we can only reasonably expcet to measure any progress will be at seasons end and after we see our revised list after draft, trade and cullings. Neeld obviously hasnt got sufficient cattle not the spread of quality therin to make any substantial gains in the short term. Its a damining testiminy to the failure of the last 5 years of opportunities. My only interest now for 2012 is to see how the WALk of Neeld impacts ( if at all, and hopefully does) on this team. I reiterate my previous comment... all talk out of this club presently is worth nada. Go Dees, Go Neeld, you certainly have your work cut out for you. How many times do we have to go through this crap before we actually wind up with a team who CAN play football ??

I rate Crawfs views...I also dont rate the ability of many Melbourne players to think. An observation based on results.

Have found his presence in the team frustrating leaning towards annoying myself. I just kept thinking there must be something that I just dont see.. Thats it in spades really...I just dont see anything ( value wise ) in him and I keep looking , almost hoping to be wrong. Hed be on my list........ not the keeping one.

surely he would have free agency... Contract expires this year...Id figure ..sayonara baby and appreciate the effort over the years, however there comes a time. If there was any compensation coming all well and good otherwise it is what it is , and end of an association and a vacancy on the list. But yes, his get up and go has got up and gone.

Ive taken a few moments to ponder and consider my thoughts. Heres my thinking. Memo; Mark Neeld Upon taking up the reigns at our fair club you issued no ambiguous warning that all that al lthat went before meant nil. All ajudications and consideration will be based upon what you saw from here on in. Names, reputations, and so all meant nought . He wasnt interested in what any one said, only what they did. Well right back at ya Mark. Im not interested one iota in a single word you wil lutter nhenceforth of commincate to print in post match conferences or your weekly diatribes.I will measure you as you would have al those under you considered, by effort and results. I fully appreciate Rome wasnt built in a day but you never had doubt what the Romans were about nor that they meant business, I sense none of this from the Demons outings to date. Quite frankly the on fiied performances of the MFC are distinctly on the nose. Ive yet to meet or talk with anyone who can see the slightest glimmer of anythiing resembling a coherent style let alone adherence to structure. So far ive seen a whole lot of nothing. Now I realise you arent out there and it might take more than a year to build a competive and demonstrably effective team, but in the mean time please dont expect me to swallow anything other than the observance of efffort, all out efforts by you and your charges .
