I somewhat disagree... As a team/club we ought not be beholding /grovel like to anyone. What we need ....is for these guys to honour their side of things and play well. they get paid hansomely to do so. Its their job. So often its forgotten that this is a professional relationship. We pay..they play. Not if and when..but 100% effort. Neither are exactly value for money currently. Do we get a refund ???

By senior players I assume you mean role models, leaders... etc. He is NONE of this Beamer... he seems all lost at sea. hes been asked to take on board something htat is more than a tad simple in terms of game style and he seems bamboozled. A BIG shame as he has the heart.. he has the ticker...has he the nouse ?? We need senior players...we need players who step up and take the mantle...its not necessarily simply about whos been there the longest...huge difference

Is it just me or does Mickey Mouse seem to have a more than normal interest in this club ?? There's obviously a tie of some sort back to Neeld.. but even last year he seemed very up on who and what we were and capable of. its almost as if he thinks.. "Christ of all teams this one ought to be stepping up and capable of something ( on paper)..but wtf is going on ? " its weird.. A former filth with a soft spot for the devil. . Bit like cousins in the hay...but hey !!

I cant helpbut get teh feeling that the game plan is structure of parts, all of which have not been able to be implemented nor rolled out purely on the basis that the first part isnt put to bed.. If this was a building then the 'footings' arent in place yet. Cant build anything upon this until this is done as rote. We havent mastered the basics...and we dont have the cattle...not quite, not yet.

Im frustrated with ol Jacky Boy. Ive been one amongst some here who really believe in this kid. I still do but theres ome invisibnle wal between where he is and where he needs to be.. Quite frankly its annoying to behold and can ony hopew he is is MORE annoyed by where he finds himself. He really needs to be educated as to the concept of 'hunger'...and real offensive pressure. He'll get there ( me hopes)

You get the notion Neeldy still keeps an eye on what his old boss has to say about us. And why wouldnt you , hes an astute observer of the game and its combatants. Also the mentoring gig. Neeld knows there are hard yards and many of them to go and it will take hardened souls to trudge them. Watss is a talented lad but he gets sucked into some sort of funk, a malaise at times. he needs to get his head right...all else will follow. Neeld has a track record of getting good talent right. But like the shampoo....not overnight ...alas. I reiterate im not that fussed about scoreboards this year anymore. ( just no drubbings please ) just want to see a holistic improvement across the boys and a good setup for a rehash over the break That said...go Dees...at least offer some bark to their purring !!

with alldue respect Red...where is this "improvement" ? He has hardly stepped up an iota since he came on board. You suggest he continue thi simprovement which for mine suggests some momentum in this progress..a progress I add I dispute.If ever a player was treading water..its this bloke. Some suggest to call into question the performance of a player is to bag.. I simply say this is just that, calling into question what some suppose is a given. There are more than a handful of players at any club let alone ours that will simply not get up. Some wait perenially others all but eternally for their cherished lads to realise a potential once sprouted. Not all do, simple as. This is his 5th season...his 5th !!. And he still hasnt made an impact... Come on Red.. youve been around the traps.. you know footy... A likely lad OUGHT to have done 'something ; by now.....no ?

wilo was a player unique. Yet he could and would give you 4 quarters of footy. He also earned a Charlie. Ive never seen Sylvia put in 4 decent qtrs , well not all in the same game and he only slightly better than a remote chance to ever wear aBrownlow. I will say though they both have/had the abilty to turn games , indeed win them off of their own boot .One has, the other i wont hold my breath for!!!

Imn simple terms Cale fits well into a mediocre mistake ridden Melbourne . If however yiu want to play a higher calibre winning brand of footy then he just isnt good enough.

Ok..heres my 5c... Ive noidea as to the actual construct of bidding as it plays out other than I understand we dont have to beat anyones bid.. just near -match it. If we have to use up a high pick..so be it ffs. ...Just do it. Everyones trying to have their cakke and eat it too. Nice if you can , but hey.. so what. When was the last time weve had a chance to pick a player who IS ready to go and we KNOW.. , categorically KNOW he is the goods and a goer. So many picks have been speculative in themain. Always intrihues me why anyone thinks you can play at FF and not be Fully Fit.. They used to rest you in a pocket, that's more likely., maybe. FF requires you on your game. You have to have 100% burst speed ( well 100% of whatever you have ). Putting an underdone player in a Key possy is handing the opposition a freebie. in a word..DUMB

Sylvia is a flanker who can move throughthe middle. But he seems to prefer the wings and given Neelds prpoensity towant to hug the boundary then Sylvia ought to come into his own.. Big emphasis on OUGHT, as Im about a gnats d*#k away from giving up all hope this guywill ever be the goods. He is a wonderful user of space and had great vision to fall into the hole , puttting him at FF is a nonsense.

Afaict.....it goes like this. Theres some bloke(s) up the pointy end named HIM. When any of our guys get it they must kick it to HIM. But they mustnt kick it down the guts they must play pass the parcel along the boundary line . You wouldnt think it that hard to master... but Im wrong
