Being a contested player doesn't mean you have poor skills. They are not mutually exclusive.

I would take Richmond or Collingwood's form over ours

In the most recent draft we got Jackson, Kossie and Rivers. A ruck/forward, forward pocket and back flank.

Not hitting a target when you are kicking into the forward line is stupid regardless of the size of the player it's kicked too. Just like if you are kicking from full back, the half back flank or on the wing. We like to play and win contested footy but it doesn't excuse poor kicking. This has nothing to do with the size of our forward line.

Richmond won their first flag of the modern era with one tall forward. And he isn't that tall. Collingwood who are flag favourites are only playing one tall forward. It's hardly suicidal.

Michael Tuck played 50 games in the reserves before getting a senior game. I doubt he would have been eligible for a rising star but he won 7 premierships. If we played Jordan on the ball he would likely get a rising star nomination but he would need to pass Viney, Oliver or Brayshaw. Harmes would be breathing down his neck too.

Jordan Gysberts got 2 nominations. It's not really a reliable guide.

I think and hope everyone posting in this thread and on Demonland agree on two things. 1) We all loathe racism 2) Nev is a great ambassador for the Dees and indigenous people. You have an army behind you Nev.

Because his competition is Jackson and Weid. Petty is one of the few players on the injury list but could easily threaten for the spot

It was before corona after the grand final and pretty late at night on Swan St. I think we were both pretty positive about everything.

Just what I have read on Demonland and he kicked 5 and is not named in the squad.

He said his hips were good. I've read elsewhere on Demonland he is out of favour. The fact he kicked 5 on the weekend and isn't in the squad backs it up.
