  1. Unfortunately, the most deserving Australian didn't win Australian of the year again.
  2. I have zero information internally at Melbourne, however, do have on good authority he was toxic at Collingwood.
  3. Not expected best 22 i’ll take Bradtke and he is a project player. A case can be made for everyone else on the list.
  4. Jordon is an accumulator of the footy with elite vision and kicking skills. He has a tank too. Expect him starting in the centre in September.
  5. West Coast Eagles style rumour?
  6. He’s had completely different treatment since leaving Freo. They cut the area out of his calf that was rubbing on his nerve. It might work it might not but a minor setback should not be make or brake it should be expected.
  7. Age is a significant factor in my version. Not sure what you base yours on. Maybe horoscopes?
  8. HB is in his prime and an extraordinary talent. He is nothing like we have drafted before. He is worth the risk.
  9. Kind of the opposite of Boyd who gave the Bulldogs nothing except an elusive premiership.
  10. The best thing is I do rate them. Chandler and O Mac the next most likely. Any of them could play. For the first time since we have had an affiliation with a VFL team every single player on the list is a chance except for Bradtke who is a category B rookie anyway.
  11. Well bet on him him if you think he is a certainty. I’ve said in a number of threads I think Jordon will be in our best midfield by the end of the year. I said he is a Smokey for the rising star not a a sure thing.
  12. Best 22 come finals jetta / May / Hibbert harmes / Lever / Salam Tomlinson / Jordan / Langdon Melksham / T Mac / Petracca pickett / Jackson / AVB foll: Gawn / Oliver / Viney ic: Brayshaw / Jones / Sparrow / Fritch unlucky: Hannan / Petty / Hunt fighting for spots: Rivers, Brown & Bedford
  13. Harmes from all training reports will be playing off a half back flank. Jordan will play midfield this year. Could be a Smokey to win the rising star if he gets a gig round 1.
  14. Keating would have been hampered worse than Jeff White when they made the rule change to stop ruckman taking run ups. His best asset was charging into the ballup thumping the ball forward and smashing into whoever was up against him. It helped he had Voss, Aka, Simon Black and Nigel Lappin running after his thumping hit outs.
  15. Agree i’m out. Think we will finish top 4 this year based on great training reports.
  16. Dieter the peak fire season in NSW is Spring. It’s Winter in parts of the top end. http://www.bom.gov.au/weather-services/fire-weather-centre/bushfire-weather/index.shtml The timing of fires is just another tool of the alarmists to blame climate change without fact.
  17. The Greens hold responsibility for killing the Logging industry which is btw the ultimate sustainable industry. We no longer have the appropriate machinery or expertise for fire mitigation in areas that require high risk areas to be cleared. We also can’t clear paths like we used to do, to get emergency services into the zones where they can be most effective.
  18. “Unprecedented” arson!
  19. I don’t want to politicise this but you acknowledge similar fires before and then later say it is unprecedented. Then you say it’s unprecedented at this time of the year. We’re in the middle of summer.
  20. Which areas in Australia have not been affected by bush fires in millions of years? The Great Barrier Reef maybe.
  21. I joined a fitness gym recently where you need to do boxing and I find it difficult to get simple combination punches in the right order when I am exhausted. There is no doubt fatigue played a factor in our disposal. Fitness crucified us last year. Not just injury.
  22. Smells like teen spirit is rating poorly for a song that has won MMM, JJJ and Gold 104’s greatest song of all time.
  23. Best wishes to your friends and family hardtack.
  24. And a special mention to Allen Jackovich for the scissor kick and his 11 goals 8 and a few out in the full.
  25. Longest kicks: Bennett, Weatley, Frost and Hunt. Bennett and Weatley did it consistently but the other two did torpedos that defied gravity. Greatest kicks: TJ, Alan Johnson, Whelan, Davey & Watts. When Whelan took the kick out he never missed, short or long. Experimental kicks; Stynes, Duke of Earl, Alastair Nicholson and Max Gawn when he is 10 metres out.
