POSTGAME: Rd 12 vs St. Kilda
Rubbish. When Pickett plays we are more likely to win than not. Before today he was the only player in the league averaging over 20 possesions and 2 goals a game. He went off injured at training mid week and didn't train again before the game. When you are out there you need to perform but should have he been out there?

2025 NATIONAL DRAFT ORDER AND SELECTIONS
tbh I'd prefer Kalani was GC's first preference and he chose us

NON-MFC: Round 12
Maybe because we had the momentum, kozzie was running into an open goal and got blatantly tripped without being awarded a free kick. Then they went down the other end and kicked a goal.. we would be 6 straight if it wasn't for that blunder that was shown on ever news reel on TV. It's rare if not unheard of for a bad umpiring decision to be shown over and over on every channels mainstream news. It has to be a howler

Ball Movement 2025
We were one of the fastest ball movers when we were losing the first 5 rounds. I'm pretty sure i remember reading @WheeloRatings post on Easter Sunday we were ranked the fastest in the league. Alot has changed since then. The fast ball movement hasn't but we have better ball users playing and or hitting form. McVee, Kozzie and Bowie. Our forward line has made a transition to playing a style that every other club will follow eventually by not only preventing intercept marks from doing their thing but instead of leading in front of them they hide behind them so the interceptor can't watch their player and the ball at the same time, making them lost , then we bring the ball to ground or get an easy mark. Plus Oliver, Petracca and Gawn coming back to form helps us move the ball quickly from centre bounces and contesrs. There alot of layers too it

Geelong to be fined over 3rd party payments
Probably but they need a farm with a runway to land them on as well

Welcome to Demonland Oliver Sestan
Does anyone know why we aren't playing him as a forward? When we drafted him all the reports were of him kicking 20 goals in a game. 60 goals in 12 games. Melbourne know more than most that good goal kickers are hard to find

We're Not Dead Yet - The 2025 Season
I'm reading alot of posts wondering if we can sneak into the 8? On the back of the last 6 weeks I'm wondering who can beat us when we storm in there. Our game plan was ridiculed by me last year and almost everybody thought it was outdated when we were losing so badly at the start of the year. Now we move the ball faster than any other side, we've got our contested possesion game back and are so much more unpredictable with the angles we are taking. We're not sitting top of the ladder, like we have done previously where everyone analyses you not stop and tries to find a way to break your system... If injuries and suspension (Kozzie) are friendly to us in the finals. I wouldn't want to be the team coming up against us

What are they saying at Moore Park?
"Oliver needed closing down- no action." Just when I thought today couldn't get any better.

PREGAME: Rd 12 vs St. Kilda
AJ is a watch for me. He keeps throwing his arms around and giving us scoring opportunities and kicked that soccer goal last week. I don't know if that's what to expect from him or a fluke.

POSTGAME: Rd 11 vs Sydney
JVR only took 13 marks against a second rate Preston

Up yours Essendon thought you were death riding us after round 5

POSTGAME: Rd 11 vs Sydney
If the umpires didn't somehow miss that trip on Kozzie in the goal square against the Hawks we would be 6 straight. That sucked the momentum out of us

CASEY: Rd 09 vs Northern Bullants
Really pleasing JVR took 13 marks. Not concerned about a week opposition. I was seriously wondering if he needed latzer surgery on his eyes (I think Neitz did late in his career) because he was missing marks that he was getting perfectly positioned for. Now it seems it's just a confidence thing.

VIVE LA DIFFÉRENCE by The Oracle
Melksham is the key to that. He leads wide and never misses from either pocket. We have f50 options when he is playing I saw Buckley and Jonathon Brown analyse the Brisbane game and they highlighted how Melksham was hiding behind Harris Andrews back so he couldn't watch player and ball at the same time and now that's the blue print for every other side. There are a few things we are starting to do that make me think we are not followers in game style but leaders

Vale Robert Walls
It says alot for a man who played for sides other than Melbourne, to get pages on Demonland full of love. I heard a whisper Percy Beams went to the Barwon Heads pub after the funeral and had the whole venue singing we are the navy blues in honour. Respect is universal for Wallsy.

VIVE LA DIFFÉRENCE by The Oracle
Absolute best i have seen at keeping his feet when getting tackled and feeding off by hands, it doesn't matter how many tackle him. He is an ordinary kick though when he has time to think unless he is surging forward and kicking to someone running out the back. He always nails that with a thumping kick over the top of everybody

What are they saying at Moore Park?
Every one of these opposition threads worries about Gawn. He goes into "beast mode" when we, as a team, get our structures right and force them to kick it down the line. Everone is making a deal of Clarry tagging now, nobody mentions he tagged Bont in the 3rd quater in our only premiership in 50 years and turned the momentum
- WTF – only one game in Melbourne next week?

VIVE LA DIFFÉRENCE by The Oracle
I'd argue Petracca is a better kick when he has less time to think about it. Look at his set shots, orr his famous goal from the the boundary line in the grand final. He is the last player I want to have time to find an option or kick a goal. The quicker and more on instinct for him the better.
