Wait till we start bandaging up the wrong limb like Ling Jong. That is genius.
-
I have a feeling by the end of the season the Hawks and Geelong will be thankful they didn't play us twice.
-
I'm pretty sure Viney, Tyson, Jones and Lewis can implement enough physical pressure we don't need a big forward that can't mark to absorb some. Best of luck Dawes you were a good servant but I will forever be amazed you could take overhead marks when you played against Melbourne but never could when you played for Melbourne.

Prodigal sun?

Spot on Nutbean. I am not anti-development and I frown apon the green groups who have been caught out in wikileaks surreptitiously disrupting major Australian projects. However, when a developer knocks down a heritage listed building the penalty should be appropriate. Horses for courses. The $200k fine is not enough.

Demonland Crystal Ball 2017: Your predictions for next season
Wrecker45 replied to P-man's topic in Melbourne Demons
We wont lose a game at Etihad* Garlett to start playing brilliant footy again* Vandenberg to have a breakout year* *anyone who picked Hunt to be one of the favourite demons's by the end of 2016 can throw the first stone -
Hopefully we bid on Jarman with our first pick and the packet of twisties we gave them for Lewis isn't enough to match it.

Happy to agree to disagree. What we think politically doesn't define us. Red and blue flows through my vains.

I thought we got Lewis not Jobe?
-
When he came 3rd in our best and fairest he beat home Howe and Dunn. Howe came 5th in Collingwood's this season. Dunn might win it next year...

SOS would prefer to give the GWS players he stuffed up once on a second chance.
-
Not sure why there is so much hate for Tippett. If we somehow snag him at the right price we will be serious contenders next year.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - MICHAEL HIBBERD
Wrecker45 replied to KC from Casey's topic in Melbourne Demons
The draft has been like the finals for the dees. I have looked forward to it every year for almost a decade. We normally have a top pick. This year we didn't and all of a sudden we land Jordan Lewis. -
The Paul Roos legacy. Destination club. Welcome Jordan Lewis.

Lets also work out the hours all these women have spent training and playing football previously. As far as I know Daisy is the first female footballer to be paid. So on that assumption $0 paid to every player in the league so far (besides Daisy). Whatever they get in the future is great for women's football. If in 5 years time sponsorship and tv rights justify a pay rise I will be the first to protest for it.

Woey, Farmer and Travis Johnstone were all favourites of mine at a stage. Thank Christ I chose Wrecker45 as my username.

Ideally our depth should be players who we expect to come on and be in our best 22. We shouldn't just take nqr's for depth, for depths sake. Nothing against Josh Green I haven't seen enough of him to make a judgement call.
-
Not funny when you consider some of the list management issues we have been through.

Mahoney is holiday during trade week?

Exactly. Can't wait for the women's game to do well. The Dees have a team and Daisy is the poster girl of women's football. I will support it financially and with bums on seats . But let's not get upset about wages when the AFL is bringing in an avenue for women to get paid for the first time ever. Again I will say it is the perpetually offended who are offended by this.
-
The women's league makes progress by being inaugurated into the AFL. Massive tick to the AFL for once. It is the perpetually offended who can't see this. It is not small progress, it is a giant step. But hey lets get offended by it.
-
Is it their full time job? Do they work a full working week or year? What a ridiculous comparison. My cousin plays for a country league where he gets paid but doesn't earn the minimum wage either. He sees it as a bonus on top of his income.
-
We also beat the top of the ladder side who were on an 8 game winning streak in the lead up to the finals to keep our slim hope alive. That teams captain in waiting was impressed...

Don't know what it feels like to get a 4 time premiership, all Australian, gun of the competition type saviour. i'm used to relying on skinny 18 year olds.
