I agree with almost all you are saying but interested in your opinion. I work for a company with over 800 employees in Australia. There is no psychologist on staff. i played footy from Vic Kick (now Aus kick) through to the amateurs which was about 15 years of playing. It is good excersise and you build great lifelong friendships. I’m not belittling mental health or metal health issues. But why do AFL footy clubs need psychologists? Most organisations don’t have them or require them.

Jeff White was cruelled by the change of ruck rules when they made you stay within the circle. Without his run up he was never the same. Woey for me. His Brownlow year is underrated. Laser left foot and just kept getting the footy. Couldn’t handle a tag though.

If I knew how to use the search function properly i’d quote myself over and over from last season saying we never used to switch. Kick out from full back to a side, then take it up that same wing, then kick to that same forward flank. The only reason we won inside 50’s was because every time the ball was in dispute we had hard competitive mids who just got it forward. Now we have two proper wingman so we can switch any time knowing we are safe out wide on the other side. Chaos football only works if you are unpredictable. We’re now.

It doesn’t matter if Weid is in the ruck or forward he was drafted to take marks. I was told a few years back by Macca that he is the biggest asset on our list because he can take marks at the peak of his leap with height and outstretched arms so could break opposition zones.
