Aus Bush Fires
I don’t want to politicise this but you acknowledge similar fires before and then later say it is unprecedented. Then you say it’s unprecedented at this time of the year. We’re in the middle of summer.

Aus Bush Fires
Which areas in Australia have not been affected by bush fires in millions of years? The Great Barrier Reef maybe.

Preseason Training 2020
I joined a fitness gym recently where you need to do boxing and I find it difficult to get simple combination punches in the right order when I am exhausted. There is no doubt fatigue played a factor in our disposal. Fitness crucified us last year. Not just injury.

WERRIDEE'S PLAYLIST
Smells like teen spirit is rating poorly for a song that has won MMM, JJJ and Gold 104’s greatest song of all time.

Best wishes to your friends and family hardtack.

Memorable Kickers
And a special mention to Allen Jackovich for the scissor kick and his 11 goals 8 and a few out in the full.
-
Memorable Kickers
Longest kicks: Bennett, Weatley, Frost and Hunt. Bennett and Weatley did it consistently but the other two did torpedos that defied gravity. Greatest kicks: TJ, Alan Johnson, Whelan, Davey & Watts. When Whelan took the kick out he never missed, short or long. Experimental kicks; Stynes, Duke of Earl, Alastair Nicholson and Max Gawn when he is 10 metres out.

Players that need the most development
Spargo is too small, not fast enough and can’t kick very far but he sees the game better than most. He has damaging decision making and football smarts.

Players that need the most development
I’m not sure either of the Wagner brothers will get a game. I hope they go James Harmes like but unlikely.

Players that need the most development
Who is the least likely to play this year?

Goddard Tips Dees to Recover
So would Milne.

Dunkley and Rivers
I can’t see how either will play this year. Outside of Bradtke everyone on the list is pushing for a spot. Dunkley and Rivers would be last and second last. i mean that in a good way.

Top 10 MFC Players of the Decade
Brayshaw came 3rd in the Brownlow. I’d have AVB ahead of Hogan. He stood up in the most important games of the decade.

Core players / top 4 in the best 22? (merged thread)
I’m hoping 1 Melbourne player can play an A+ game in my lifetime on grand final day. Malion Pickett didn’t get selected to debut on grand final day for no reason. He is an absolute jet.

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year Demonlanders
I want 3 cups to complain about. Merry Christmas.

Core players / top 4 in the best 22? (merged thread)
I agree with everything you say except Marlion Pickett. He is A+ grade and one of the best footballers in the league. He’s only played one game but he almost won the norm smith. He didn’t slot in and play his role he dominated.

Top 50 Wins of the Decade
Always love Demonblogs work. I personally would have had win 17 against the Hawks rated higher. It cemented the fact we were a real team again. Jordan Lewis would shortly nominate a trade to us, which at the time was so significant the president wrote an email to the entire football club and football department that a triple premiership player had just nominated to come to Melbourne.

Core players / top 4 in the best 22? (merged thread)
An accumulator of the footy with elite disposal, peripheral vision and decision making isn’t going to be delisted at the end of the season no matter what happens this season. The fact his professionalism is off the charts for his age and he has a pretty good tank leave me confident of where he is headed.
-
Core players / top 4 in the best 22? (merged thread)
Jordan will be in our top 4 by the end of the year and walk into any other midfield.

Harley Won’t Return to WA for the Holidays
Opportunities can work two ways, positive and negative. Giving yourself every opportunity to succeed is one way. Removing the opportunity to [censored] up is another.

TRAINING: Friday 13th December 2019
Trac does't have much of an issue. He's coming into his prime and his stats are showing he is going (tracing) well. If anything his ball drop from set shots is ridiculously high. Weid for me doesn't quite get in the right position or doesn't hold the mark when he does. Most posters on here think it is a strength thing. I think it is ability. We'll find out this year. I hope I am wrong.

Last season's Finals wins (how can I watch them)
Just wait for 2020 when we do some real damage.

Injury List 2020
On Tomlinson I think predictability of ball movement is the key to his importance. His role is to run up and down the wing that we are not kicking too. He’ll block opposition switches and fill holes in our backline. I loved Frost but he was unpredictable with ball in hand which would have been a nightmare for Tomlinson and why the dees let him go.
