  1. As a matter of interest, how many of the uncontracted and pre-draft selections that they made do GC17 have left on their list?
  2. Strauss looks half the player Docherty does in twice as long on an AFL list. Second round pick might get it done. Personally, I remain ever hopeful that one of these homesick kids - Docherty, Adams, etc - falls through to the PSD.
  3. The football media are doing what they usually do - making it up as they go along and hoping they're right. As per Ross Lon to Freo, the majority of time they have no idea what's going on.
  4. Garland N Jones Terlich M Jones Grimes
  5. Martin still hasn't signed and Conca has a big money offer from the Eagles. Neck Tatts wants to go to the Swans but they don't want him for cultural rather than monetary reasons. I imagine both will stick with the Tigers.
  6. i presume he means 'on the inside', with fosdike, mcveigh, kennelly etc providing the run. i don't care what anyone says, sydney were thrilling to watch in the mid-00s. i used to go see them at the scg all the time and they were exciting to watch, as well as being tough as.
  7. Only left Jamar in there cos Roos didin his mock team. I'd have Gawn in there for sure based upon his performance thus far coming back from injury.
  8. MELBOURNE B: Clisby Frawley Garland HB: Grimes McDonald Terlich C: Blease? Jones Watts HF: Sylvia Dawes Hogan F: Clark Howe Betts R: Jamar? Trengrove Viney I/C: Fitzpatrick? Toumpas ND #2 (Aish?) Sub: ND #3 (Sheed?) dunn i think is contracted for 2014? and i reckon it'll be between him and terlich as to who gets the role as 6th defender. no reason why we won't pick up betts. that $600k pay packet request is a myth.
  9. His kids want to go to uni in Melbourne from all reports. If this happens I'll have kittens!
  10. He's taken the director of football role at Collingwood. Less stress and probably more money!
  11. It's getting beyond a joke. I maintain that it's a matter of time before infraction notices are issued to AFL players. And then we really could see things crumble.
  12. Jon Pierik has a story in the big paper today, confirming they will investigate us and Bock next. > The messages show Dank and Bates discussed several substances, including the anti-obesity drug AOD-9604, cerebrolysin and thymomodulin. Unbelievably, if we - unlike the Bombers - actually kept records of what was administered, could we possibly be hit even harder than try have been?
  13. if it turns out we used performance enhancing peptides, we'll cop our fair whack, just as the bombers have. fun times, as ever.
  14. based on this proposed midfield, we would lack depth and look short and slow. blease, barry and evans are the only ones with genuine pace; one is not up to being a midfielder, one is unproven and very skinny at this stage, and the last can't hit the side of the garage from 10m away.
  15. i thought his press conference was compelling viewing. they normally last ten minutes, tops; this went for over 25. justin rodski, bombers' media manager, tried to shut it down, but hird wanted to keep talking. he's looking absolutely spent, but his team keeps on keeping on. (peptides might've helped there.)
  16. That was pathetic man marking on van Berlo. Woeful.
  17. It's just a shocking coaching move. He gives us nothing as a spare down back.
  18. How can you expect to be competitive when playing Pedersen against Jacobs in the ruck?
  19. AFL stream back up. D-Rod looks in a lot of pain.
  20. nope, want them out of the first two rounds of both drafts. i think the fine sounds about right, the loss of points i agree with - although it'd be terrific if mr. i take full responsibility can delay it, so it actually happens next year; the fool! - but i personally think hird should be suspended from football for life for what he's done. of course, if 34 of their playing list or something silly like that gets suspended for 6 months to 2 years then all bets are off as to what the actual 'punishment' is going to be.
  21. Not sure how the broadcast rights holders would feel about that, let alone the teams that finished above the team due to play the Bombers who don't get a bye. I think 9th coming in is perfectly fine. Hoping its the Kangaroos as they're better to watch than the Blues.
