i did, and ii thought he was pretty standard - lost his man on cross over, turned the ball over by foot, lacked composure under pressure. basically, all the failings he's always had to my (untrained) eye. hope he proves me wrong, cos every time i watch zaharakis running around for the peptides i sigh about what could have been. same goes for seeing schuey for meth coke, when compared to blease.

sad to say, another kid who looked quality when given time and space to move in tac cup (blease, maric, gysberts) but a long way off being an afl-level player.

i actually don't think fixture or broadcast schedule should be divvied up equally. let the big players and the successful clubs have their rewards - but split the revenues equally. they already do that for broadcast agreements, there's nothing to stop them doing it for all game day revenues.

god i just love his enthusiasm. so encouraging. no way i can see him leaving after a couple of years. clearly loving it.

i've been advocating a fully socialist model for a decade, whereby afl takes all monies made from the game at the game, splits em equally 18 ways. how the clubs individually choose to spend their $$ is then up to them - it could be in football, in innovation, what have you.
