How typically Melbourne Brodie Grundy
whatwhat say what replied to picket fence's topic in Melbourne Demons
i thought he played half forward as a stopper on zorko and got smashed -
you said "As always we don’t seem to be in the hunt for any big name players" except we are, virtually every year just posting rubbish
-
bloods game is built around the scg can't defend the bigger ground the 5m or so shouldn't make a difference but clearly every centimetre of space counts
-
grundy having a shocker

Angus Brayshaw Forced into Retirement
whatwhat say what replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
big piece by caro today about how much we miss him -
bloods finding out that the mcg is a much harder ground to defend than the scg
-
wtf are you talking about this year we were near certs to get houston - the best player looking to move clubs by some margin - until such a time as our season collapsed in on itself there's not that many 'big names' looking to move clubs; in truth, there rarely is
-
straight swap for harley, yr saying
-
widely reported we're not paying any $$ of grundy's contract
-
bukkake of a post, yr spraying it everywhere...
-
i take it you don't think we'll pick riak andrew @WERRIDEE - because he won't make it on our list or because he's not eligible to join us?
-
that's a lot of finals

Back-to-back flags for Billy Stretch
whatwhat say what replied to Grapeviney's topic in Melbourne Demons
and me the same happy for billy stretch to get another medal, but... -
won't know that til we see the results in 2025, and beyond win a premiership with this cohort some time during the may - gawn - viney dotage, and yes, it might well be the season we had to have i want to see us 'bounce' next year at a minimum
-
apparently he stopped jj cementing his spot as a spare parts player for us as opposed to a hard tag half forward for the bloods we gave up nothing for him fwiw good player, not a great player
-
well, judging from the youtube post at any rate

Dees Irish Experiment
whatwhat say what replied to kallangurdemon's topic in Trade, Draft & Free Agency
oisin mullin, mark keane, callum brown, mark o'connor, connor nash all been terrific pick-ups in the last few years i personally wouldn't be surprised if the success of irish women coming into aflw sees more men exploring their opportunities to come into aflm -
this he's one of the best kicks in the game we'd kill to have his skill coming off half back

Nathan Bassett to Dees as Forwards Coach?
whatwhat say what replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
and also that josh carr had basically been anointed as hinkley's future successor i'd love to bring rawlings back from the legs too he and ayres are two of the best and most successful 'lower level' coaches over the last 30 years -
we were until he did his acl in the sanfl, i believe after that he rehabbed at the pear and then moved into the position of being their key forward given lord's injury run in 2024, marshall's ongoing concussion concerns, and dixon's failing body he'll be their prime forward for the foreseeable future, you'd imagine

New List Manager - Tim Lamb?
whatwhat say what replied to DeeSpencer's topic in Trade, Draft & Free Agency
yr looking at the equivalent of 2016-19 for the mfc for the likes of amon, d'ambrosio, ginnivan, and meek, plus barras and battle as a free agent at the end of this year in the equivalent time period we brought in lewis, melksham, hibberd, lever, may, and langdon let's see how dingley goes recruiting players after they've won a premiership and had to re-contract their equivalents of gawn, petracca, oliver, brayshaw, viney et al- 242 replies

i buy 2 afl silver memberships each year, tied to the mfc, as well as my annual 'donation' to the club of a small membership it used to think of it as my 'you've got my money, now win some games' membership back in the early 2010s when i got the afl memberships gratis, and i'm loathe to stop having it it's gone thru various permutations, beginning as an interstate membership some 22 or so years back love this club, will always buy a membership
