  1. Eh? He’s signed a two year deal to take him through to free agency; Wanganeen-Milera likely to do the same Bergman’s port pay packet will likely be top ten in the club; as it should be, as that’s what he is while NWM should see him be the aints best paid player, right until TDK takes him over
  2. every player at the moment becomes 'one of the best paid players in the competition' the minute they sign a new contract such is the nature of the current salary cap boom
  3. what's the difference between 'being gifted games' and 'given opportunity at the highest level'? when he was fit at the end of last season he looked ready to step up to the afl he will learn a lot more playing at afl level than vfl, particularly if he continues to play in 'starvation corner' as a half-forward in the afl as opposed to as a midfielder in the vfl i'd personally be keeping him in for the remainder of the year unless his attitude completely drops away, which would seem to be less likely as he seems to revel in participation if not performance
  4. where he would succeed where richardson has failed is as a media performer kenny is a natural in that regard; he has them eating out of his hand on a regular basis
  5. i like the idea of ceilings and floors, if you use the examples and following that have been outlined in this thread we're looking at...from an mfc perspective: ceiling: jake melksham floor: luke tapscott from another club and players with a similar body shape and attitude perspective, i'd say gc17 might have a couple of decent comparisons... ceiling: bailey humphrey floor: braydon fiorini
  6. We have hit the draft hard since the premiership with 5 first rounders in 3 drafts If the comparisons hold true (Langford = Bontempelli and Lindsay = Sidebottom) then we are laughing Windsor’s obvious comp is Max Holmes; unsure about Tholstrup Sadly el jefe makes Weed look like a world beater; we really need him to step up Without a first rounder this year and the quality of the draft under serious question, it will be interesting to see how the team continues to develop
  7. As yet he looks like has a fantastic attitude but his skills and application of said are hard to judge, because he doesn’t win enough of his own football nor impact contests Needs a clean run of health for a preseason
  8. i don't disagree that the horse trading of 2nd rounders to move around / up the first round draft board has felt unnecessary, but - other than the pick we gave for mcadam - we gave up little for this clutch of players that you highlighted: Hunter - traded for pick 50 (tom anastasopoulos - delisted) Dunstan - delisted free agent McAdam - traded for pick 31 (james barrat - yet to debut) Billings - traded for pick 49 (hugh boxshall - 4 games) Harry Sharp and 2025 3rd round (tied to the bears) - traded for 2024 pick 49 (not used) and 2025 3rd round (tied to the peptides) Tom Fullarton - traded for pick 47 (not used) Tom Campbell - delisted free agent Josh Schache - traded for pick 68 (not used)
  9. kicked the last 3 in a row to take the lead

  11. the throwing away 2nd rounders seems to have been entirely unnecessary, but i think lindsay is going to be a pearler he reminds me so much of steele sidebottom give me a xavier lindsay over a jimmy toumpas or cale morton
  12. tom lynch just went alistair lynch in the 04 grand final think tom connected to the crom dude's head tho
  13. i'm very happy with lindsay tim lamb has far more spots on him than jason taylor
  14. gawn won't relinquish the captaincy any time soon at the moment there's not a lot of obivous leaders
  15. watching the live stream of zimbos vs saffies; latter started like their were suffering from a premiership hangover, but they've come back with pretorious already on 110 off 123 icc1st Test, Day 1: Zimbabwe v South Africa (2nd/3rd Session...
  16. c'mon meth coke, keep going you good things
  17. Billings and JVR put in commendable second half performances But neither deserve to be picked Petty and Howes are clear outs; Lever and plugger Mac don’t deserve to be selected… but who else is there?
  18. The ceo is responsible for the whole of club - aflm program is one component only It’s on all - aflm / vflm and AFLW / vflw footy dept, marketing, commercial team, and most vitally whoever is looking at the long term project that encompasses the potential of Caulfield It’s a huge job and I don’t envy the new bloke coming in after our aflm / vflm seasons will likely be over, particularly if the likes of Trac and Oliver - or others - request trades once again
  19. no disagreement from me other than gawn and viney, we have no leaders
  20. he wasn't blocked, he just wasn't strong enough to get front position
  21. may looks finished as a serious afl player slow and lead to the ball, outbodied in 1:1 contests
  22. i don't think he is at all heaps on demonland are calling out his selfish play and appalling lack of defensive efforts clayton tries but is not fit neither are good users of the ball
  23. trac just burned a team mate to sky it high in the air from a snap rather than feed it to a bloke running into an open goal not a team player
