  1. current ceos at other melbourne-based clubs... carlton: brian cook - unlikely, he's only been there a couple of years and it was seen as his 'last gig' at the time collingwood: craig kelly - no chance, he's running that club like a fiefdom essendon: craig vozzo - has made the move from meth coke recently, his tenure and brad scott are tied together footscray: ameet bains - professional ceo, been at the dogs since 2017, time for a new challenge? hawthorn: ash klein - been there last than 18 months, unlkely north melbourne: jen watt - has a history with mfc, but only been there a bit over two years richmond: shane dunne - just over 6 months in the gig st. kilda: carl dilena - been there less than a year by process of elimination, ameet bains is the most likely, but jen watt is the 'cultural fit'
  2. His story is pretty incredible
  3. dingley filth? crom? pear puddy tatts bears us? bloods? gw$? very early in the season, but that means we are favoured by the competition being even, so best results for us would see: baggers draw peptides tiggas aints meth coke us flagmantle gc17
  4. this has all the hallmarks of a request for a trade at the end of the season I’ll definitely be here, and [I have loved] my time here https://www.theage.com.au/sport/afl/trying-to-find-excuses-ex-curator-lashes-afl-over-adelaide-oval-call-20250317-p5lk51.html
  5. Shame, but hard to see him getting off on appeal
  6. Gonna bring his dog with him?
  7. North appealing the Archer verdict, as they should
  8. our last three games vs gw$ and the baggers have seen us lose all 3 by a total of 7 points why do we match up so well with both these sides? why can't we beat either of them?
  9. i'm one of 'them' too the glares i get from the genteel folks in their tweed caps...honestly, yr at the footy! as long as yr not abusive towards players from either sides, get loud
  10. petty was terrific defensively, he won't go forward i'd have plugger mac in the back 6 over howes, regardless of whether may is back or not
  11. goodwin has just done a quick post-game ahead of 4.5 hours of coding https://www.melbournefc.com.au/video/1733798/simons-sign-off-round-1?videoId=1733798&modal=true&type=video&publishFrom=1742120670001 the change to his media persona is striking definitely going down the reverend style of opening up in his coaching journey
  12. do you even mfcss??!?
  13. could't agree more he's a recidivist sniper it's why oppo supporters loathe him
  14. only 3 or 4? i'd say closer to 5 or more
  15. what're the chances that both johnson and chandler cop suspensions?
  16. 23k against a franchise in those conditions and given the other major sporting activity on elsewhere in the same city is a great crowd
  17. 6: Gawn 5: Salem 4: Lever 3: Bowey 2: Petracca 1: Lindsay
  18. 23,278 I think it was? 10k more than I expected
  19. AJ and Chandler might get suspended - if they are then it could be Laurie and… I have no idea who in, presumably not Billings or Woey 2.0 Otherwise, no change unless May is returning
  20. Frustrating loss We clearly match up very well with GW$ - or they match up well with us - as it’s always a thriller I understand why they’ve made the move, but I really don’t like Fritsch as a high half forward; he’s our best goal kicker and having him outside the f50 is a waste
  21. Greene was holding onto Petty’s arm Maggot got sucked in
  22. We have a small supporter base which is extremely die hard We don’t attract theatregoers and certainly not in the rain on a Sunday after a massive heat wave over the previous week, up against the oztrayan f1, playing a franchise with about 2000 total supporters, if that
  23. Lots to like Some of our calamity in the backline is so so costly
  24. Really? I reckon my 12k estimate might be overs; empty on the way in from Malvern
