Luke Jackson back to Victoria?
straight swap, player for player first time since mitch clark - heritier lumumba - travis varcoe?
-
Wade Derksen
Neither he nor Aleer are good enough to be key defenders at gw$ - primarily as their two key pillars are two of the best in the competition at the moment

NON-MFC: Round 09
that was a brilliant watch tom green or ed richards have the mantle as the #1 bloodnut midfielder in the competition

puddy tatts vs gw$ is a cracking game

POSTGAME: Rd 09 vs Hawthorn
100% we traded for an experienced, multiple coleman medal chase tall forward, who helped us win a premiership but his body was broken by the time many other players of his era - lynch, cameron - are still up and about it ain't easy

POSTGAME: Rd 09 vs Hawthorn
recruiting lever, may, hibberd, melksham, was integral for that 2017-2023 time period of contention; not too dissimilar to the recruitment drive the filth and the puddy tatts have done from 2020-now we're clearly trying a more recruit-based model to building back up again, and i for one can't wait for a decade plus of good footy from at least three, hopefully four or five, of our six first round picks in that time period the point is there's no 'perfect model' for premiership success cats always top up and it keeps them competing and the filth are the filth - they're two of the most well resourced and professional clubs in the competition

Welcome to Demonland Matthew Jefferson
there's nothing about his game that indicates he'll make it at afl level

NON-MFC: Round 09
when was the last time we were scheduled as the home team on mother's day, and what was the crowd? reckon tigs-meth coke today might be less than whatever it was - looks very sparse i mean i get this game being the early game on a sunday, but on mother's day? afl are cretins with their scheduling of games i'm sure i remember one year we copped the same thing - i think against flagmantle, who have an even smaller supporter base than meth coke - right when we were at our absolute worst it may have even been the game when wonna went mental and jimmy was in the cheer squad

felt 50/50 to me we have 22k or so rusted on who turn up every week as attendees, the rest was probably up-and-about dingley and neutrals god they're obnoxious tho - dudes in afl members in cubicle hunters spent the whole time watching the racing, getting up and down to get more drinks, and had little idea of who their players were

POSTGAME: Rd 09 vs Hawthorn
we have tried to bring in a key tall forward - lynch from the tigs, georgiades from the pear, waterman and allen from meth coke, and so on and so forth key tall forwards are prized for good reason the difference is we have prioritised bringing in youth since the premiership, with 6 first round pick selections in 4 years since while it looks, to me, that jefferson is a complete bust, and there's queries over tholstrup, the likes of windsor, langford, and lindsay look like they'll be top tier quality, and jvr ain't the only tall forward struggling in his fourth year in the system; from the same draft ugle-hagan is mia and amiss is in as bad a patch of form as van rooyen pies have added perryman, schultz, and houston via multiple first round draft picks post-premiership, but mcstay was a free agent prior to their 2023 triumph, and membrey was a free from the aints cameron was a significant part of the puddy tatts' 2022 premiership, at the cost of three first round picks (which they got via tim kelly trade), while bailey smith cost, what, two first rounders?

NON-MFC: Round 09
why retire? much easier to be a part-time then full-time afl ruckman earning oodles than having to get a real job he's a marvellous player; at his peak he was second only to gawn as the best ruckman in the game

NON-MFC: Round 09

PREGAME: Rd 10 vs Brisbane
Either something is not right with May or heβs a shadow of his former self and I query giving him an extra year in 2026 Plugger Mac is by some margin the best tall defender
