  1. I was just going off an article in the scum or on espn or something; haven’t seen him play
  2. Isn’t Raak only eligible for the national draft at the end of the year, and part of Footscray’s next gen academy? Unlike Ugle-Hagan they’re likely to miss out on him as he will be nominated in the top 20, which will mean they can’t claim him Interesting to see Freeman starring in the VFL so far this season; sliding doors moment where if we’d taken him rather than Salem... Taylor was a big fan of his in his draft year
  3. it won't be this year, but the simple solution is to shift the pre-finals bye to a pre-grand final bye all state leagues etc. host their grand finals in that new 'gap week' it removes the relative 'disadvantage' that teams winning straight thru to the prelim have at the moment where they don't play much footy in the last month of the year, thus not allowing for consistent approach much better to go rd 23 / finals week 1 / 2 / 3 / bye / grand final than rd 23 / bye / 1 / 2 / 3 / grand final if they are THAT concerned about this concussion issue and players inadvertently missing out on a gf because of the arbitrary 12 day protocol i can completely understand where nick riewoldt is coming from when he said he would take it as far as he could to prove he was recovered within 7 days from finals week 3 to grand final rather than miss out because of the time period
  4. i expect a win, but i don't expect a slaughtering we don't win games by blowing teams away; we are winning by choking them to death

  7. the cost of bringing in jake lever was, in actuality, liam stocker and lachie o'brien? give me rick any day
  8. for mine, side has changed markedly since 2018 the (preferred) set-up has been relatively consistent since midway through last season lack of injury has seen the added benefit of cohesion within the 22 (23?) that make up the team each week
  9. love that the likes of kornes are sooking about the grief that pickett was giving by saying "you're picking on a three-time premiership player, tigers have got long memories, blah blah blah" actually, pickett was having a crack at a three-gamer who had spent the whole game roughing him up

  17. he's not a forward...he's not a ruck...he's not a midfielder... he's a genuine utility and future superstar of the competition reminds me of adam goodes

  19. don't panic mr mannering, mr mannering don't panic!
  20. i am one of his biggest critics on this site, i think, but i think the role he's been playing this year as defensive fold-back wing has been nothing short of excellent and it's a fantastic achievement to get to 100 games given the adversity he's battled thru with concussion and serious injury last year now - as i say of any demon who gets to 100 games - breed up, boy! i expect many father-sons and -daughters, especially given his partner is the daughter of danny frawley surely that should produce a gun or three for future generations!
  21. anything above 0 is fantastic in this current covid climate the beauty of isolation as an island nation, i guess
  22. while i expect to lose to richmond this week, i also think with the injury toll that they'll beat footscray next week - i also expect to beat north next week, which means at the end of next round both teams will remain top of the table at 7-1 in an ideal world we win this and next week against north, dogs lose to tigers, we go top of the ladder
  23. From a heated studio in Docklands...
