Wellingham/Dawes super trade (scuppered)
Deestroy All replied to bush demon's topic in Melbourne Demons
Mental that pick 4 nonsense... That would be the death blow for me. Giving pick 4 to one of the strongest clubs for 2 of their excess players, I can't believe we'd even consider it. My hope is that we are playing along with Collingwood to get West Coast to up their offer for Wellingham. I'll be done with this club if they did this deal. 13 for Dawes is even too much, but I'd live with it, just. -
Stop it Nasher, give me some room to dream. I'd go to every game if Lewis Jetta and Mitch Clark were the only 2 players we fielded. Maybe Howe as the sub.

lol fluking minor premierships and and a flag whilst dealing with some pretty important injuries to the side is a lot a flukin'. I'm surprised he lasted 10 minutes under Sheedy, thought he had more sense than that.

Lol I dare them to do this, I double f****n dare them to do this.

Damn, I read the title and got excited. I'd trade him now for a high price, rather than later for middle of the road.

Surely he'll end up at Port Adelaide, by default, if no one wants him... including Port...

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - JESSE HOGAN

Where did I personally insult you? Thicken up that skin a little. -

So you thought 24.8 cm was the wingspan of a grown man, let alone a KP footballer, and also thought that'd be a great reach for a boxer? -

What? 24cm and HAND span are not good nor have FA to do with a boxers reach. -
Finally landed a 28 year old forward pocket that wasn't in the best 22 in a team that finished 7th and no one else was after them. What a steal. If I may balance post, I'm happy enough because he'll play that position better than anyone we currently have.

The Swans have awesome beards, that's a culture I want to be a part of. But seriously, all clubs have their own culture, the Swans are at the top. When people like Kirk, Goodes, Bolton... even Gary Lyon, Mick Malthouse and Cameron Ling talk about the Swans culture, they're clearly not just feeding some BS to the media. It exists now, it has for a while and it will for who knows how long. 30 years ago means nothing. It's the examples you live by now that matter.

Who is running for us in the Grand Final sprint?
Deestroy All replied to Jonesbag's topic in Melbourne Demons
I believe Ben Hudson will run a better 100m's in the GF sprint than Mitch Clark. -

Is Moloney still officially with us? The wet track will suit him, he can swim it and gain a yard or two. -
Haven't got Foxtel, seen episode 1, but whoever is uploading it seems to take an eternity so I can't get episode 2 yet. How was the punch that rocked that circus Romanian bloke in episode 1? LMAO it was like how you hit the button to cross the road. The current US one is pretty good, shyte fighters but the dumbarses in the house are a bit nutty.

I guess my days of being young and enthusiastic are well and truly over. *puts on The Doors - The End

LOL Yeah I think I'm already over the flyweights, give them concrete gloves or something. What is there anyway, 5 of them in the whole UFC? Think there was 6, but Roy Nelson wanted a snack.

A lot of Carlton people think Ratten is a lemon. So I guess he would be quite bitter. *groan*

Yes, it's ironic that you mention the boxing coach dude that worked with Jobe, when the only notable contest Jack has won was against the boxing coach dude's student. Isn't it? Strength and aggression are needed, he has neither. Courage and determination are also needed. You can split hairs over whether or not these are skills, but they are what's needed for Jack to get anywhere near the player we need him to be. So I pretty much agree with your initial points, and see some comparisons between a fat and lazy Jobe and a timid and somewhat lazy Watts. One flicked a switch, let's see what the other does. (Please avoid quoting for pun value)

Ahh how could you not love Wrecker? A back pocket that actually did a shut down job. Loved his tackles that drove blokes nearly twice his size backwards a few metres. The hit on Hird had a double impact on me, one because it was so awesome, a momentum changer, and two because Hird recovered and pretty much won them the match, so I had a new found respect for him after that. Didn't they rebuild the Olympic stand because Whelan accidentally ran into the old one?

Lucky I only put part of my wallet on it, and covered the loss with the other part. Main card was a fizzer yet again, haven't seen the FX prelims as I was in transit, the Facebook prelims were good, and onya Kyle Noke. I waited for the Vitor flurry that never came, pulling guard almost worked so I can't really question the game plan, but when your major weapon is blasting people across a cage, should probably use it.

Quite ironic then that the only pivotal contest Jack has won was against Jobe in the dying minutes of our only true win this season.

He was saying that during the game too.
